Abstract: In a roulette wheel assembly, canoes, which equiangularly spaced around a circle intermediate a wheel and an upper track where travel of a roulette ball begins, are modified. Air outlets are provided in each canoe. Air from a source is controlled to provide randomized outputs of air from each canoe in order to affect the travel of a ball in a vicinity of a canoe in order to increase randomization of travel of the ball.

Abstract: A gaming apparatus is provided including a rotating wheel assembly having an inner portion with a plurality of sections and an outer portion with a plurality of ball receiving areas. A spinning assembly is rotatably mounted on the rotating wheel assembly for selecting one of the sections of the inner portion of the rotating wheel assembly. Further included is a ball for being randomly deposited in one of the ball receiving areas.

Abstract: A detection system for detecting the position of an object of a movable member and, In particular, for detection the position of a ball in a moving roulette wheel which has a light source for emitting visible light which is modulated. A sensor is provided to receive reflections of the emitted modulated light from the ball and the moving roulette wheel. The reflections are analyzed to determine the position of the member and the location of the objection in relation thereto. The light source can transmit light and the sensor can detect specific similarly modulated wavelengths which are predetrmined dependent upon the relative chrominance of the number ring and the pocket ring of the wheel.

Abstract: A spinning wheel amusement device having a receiving guide for receiving a token or coin which is deposited on to a spinning wheel which is rotated via a motor. The spinning wheel is provided with a plurality of receptacles spaced about its periphery for receiving the token or coin therein. A peripheral token guide surrounds the spinning wheel and directs tokens or coins not successfully received in a receptacle on the spinning wheel. The device includes a microprocessor configured to control and operate different components of the system. The device is also provided with sensors for detecting the presence of a token or coin received in a receptacle on the spinning wheel and for determining the position of the spinning. Each receptacle has a corresponding value such that an award, such as number of tickets or vouchers, are dispensed when a coin or token is successfully received in a receptacle on the spinning wheel.

Abstract: Gaming apparatus in which a ball is traveled onto a revolving surface has a plurality of rings of differing diameters which jointly form the revolving surface. The rings are centered on a vertical axis of rotation and may rotate in opposite directions or in the same direction at different speeds. The rings have winning apertures and losing apertures through which a rolling ball may drop through the ring. The rings, other than the final ring along the path of travel of the ball, also have pass zones at which a ball may roll on to the next ring without dropping into an aperture. Progressively higher score values may be assigned to the winning apertures of the successive rings along the path of ball travel. In the preferred form, the apparatus includes a ball launcher and detectors for counting balls which drop through winning apertures.

Abstract: A rotator game device for the generation of randomly selected data has a circular housing with a recess, and a base wheel rotatable within the housing recess upon a bearing arrangement. The base member has an upstanding handle member fitting over the bearing arrangement, and a circular retainer member having an inclined surface and a lip is mounted to the circular housing. A collar member is fitted to the upstanding handle member and has a plurality of detents as well as an indicia indicator for each detent area. A plurality of wheel or disc members carrying indicia such that each wheel member has one edge resting on the circular retainer and one edge resting on the base wheel.

Abstract: A device for displaying indicia is provided comprising:(a) at least one cover member having at least one visual display means on at least one surface thereof; and(b) at least one display member slidably movable by gravity with respect to at least one of said cover members within a predetermined area underlying said cover member, said display member having at least one prepositioned indicium on at least one surface thereof, said indicium registering with at least one of said visual display means, whereby said display member slidably changes position with respect to said cover member under the force of gravity in response to rotation of said device in a substantially vertical plane to change the registry of said indicium with respect to said visual display means.In preferred embodiments of this invention a perpetual and yearly calendar is provided.

Abstract: Roulette-type game apparatus comprising a housing consisting of a base and a transparent hood, a disc for providing a plurality of game fields, a drive actuating and attenuating mechanism consisting of a rotatably mounted drive spindle, a weight slidable along this spindle and an attenuating plate, and indicators such as dice or balls freely movable within said housing between the hood and the game field.
