  • Patent number: 4930788
Abstract: A game includes a game board that is divided into a plurality of, each sector defined by a different color and representing home locations of gems. The white sector being the home location for diamonds, green the home location for emeralds, blue the home location for sapphires, etc. Each sector is divided into squares, and each square corresponds to a number on a six-sided die. A colored die having a different color on each face to correspond to the sectors, and a gem die having a representation of a gem on each face are also provided. Gem playing pieces are randomly placed on the squares according to the roll of the three dice. Players then move their game tokens along the squares according to the roll of the numbered die. Gems are captured by landing a player's gems token on a square containing a gem, and then rolling an appropriate number according to the rules. A captured gem is then taken to its home location for a player to receive credits.

  • Patent number: 4930789
Abstract: A game of chance that simulates the playing of various gambling games in a casino type atmosphere. Apparatus includes a game board, upon which five separate paths of play are defined. One main path around its perimeter; and preferably four separate gaming paths that run within the interior of the board, each having its entrance and exit connected to the main path. • Patent number: 4927156
Abstract: A property dealing game that is played in two phases requires the players to acquire properties without always actually knowing the intrinsic value of the property. Cards are provided which, in combination with one or more properties, make the property worth more than its intrinsic value to a player holding one or more particular cards. The intrinsic value of the property is determined by the amount of money inserted into a closed property box during the course of play. In the initial phase, players proceed around peripheral pathway spaces on a board. However, in the second, less structured phase, the winner is determined as a result of deals made among the players without moving around the board. Additional cards are provided for affecting the holding of opposing players and influencing the bidding play in the acquisition of properties.

  • Patent number: 4921249
Abstract: A board game is disclosed which includes an octagonal-shaped playing board having a plurality of marked spaces along the periphery of the board and a plurality of casino games disposed in the central portion of the board. The plurality of marked spaces define a path of progression during play and include written or graphic indicia corresponding to selective options and directives for the players. The marked spaces having indicia corresponding to selective options either permit a player to purchase and develop "casinos," or "parking lots,", or to purchase and sell "parking lot supplies," "casino games," or "boardwalk supplies." Marked spaces having indicia corresponding to selective directives either permit a player to collect or require a player to pay token money to another player or the "Bank." Players wager token money at the centrally-disposed casino games when that player's playing piece lands on a casino space. Movement of the playing pieces is by chance, viz. a throw of dice.

The players establish a personality type by answering questions the answers to which show a predisposition to one of two opposite aspects of personality. The board game has playing squares that include Feature Squares each of which is indicative of an interest or trait associated with a personality type. A player qualifies to gain a token corresponding to a Feature Square by landing on a Feature Square representing a particular interest or trait to which the player has demonstrated a predisposition by way of the player's response to questions which are indicative of personality interests or traits. The Feature Squares and matching tokens are color-coded to correspond with the questions on the cards. Preferably a Personality Type Tabulator is provided for identifying personality types as a result of the tokens gained by each player.

  • Patent number: 4890842
Abstract: A high-risk racing game in which two to six players own racing cars represented by their pawns which they race along routes of enumerated spaces through the United States, Canada and Mexico on a gameboard. Players are given the cars, or purchase them outright or at auction by total cash or part payment with the balance financed against a car's credit limit. A player defrays incurred expenses by cash payment or debt charged against an owned car. The first player with 100 points on the scoreboard wins the game. The scoreboard records points accumulated by players, cars owned outright and purchased, and cars available for acquisition. Each time a player lands upon or passes the gameboard's score-line space, he collects points for cars he owns, with additional points collected for two-car racing teams of each specific group. The number of gameboard spaces a player advances his pawn corresponds to a number card picked or a certain space landed upon.

  • Patent number: 4887819
Abstract: A board game incorporating various gambling methods is disclosed. A player uses either a card game similar to blackjack or a slot machine to determine the number of spaces to be moved along a segmented path, the particular game being selected by the instructions contained in the segment on which the player landed on the prior move. Each segment also contains further instructions, some of those instructions designating a further gambling apparatus and giving odds. These further apparatuses are a roulette game or a dice game, and the player landing on that segment may gamble at these games at the designated odds. Other players can join in the gambling when the roulette game and the dice game are played. The objective of the game is for a player to avoid penalties designated on the game board, acquire a majority of the playing chips until either all of the other players become "busted" or the casino bank becomes "busted".

  • Patent number: 4850597
Abstract: The board game apparatus is intended primarily to provide a game involving trading, negotiating, and sailing. In order that the principle of the invention can be readily understood, a single embodiment thereof is discussed. The object of the game is to accumulate wealth through transporting goods on a cargo sloop and trading with other players. The game apparatus allows the sloops to be realistically sailed from port to port purchasing and trading cargo. Movement of the sloop is governed by wind, tide, current and the skill of the player. An array of playing spaces arranged in a grid allows a plurality of paths between any two ports. Value of the cargo changes as it is transported from port to port increasing as the distance from the port of origin increases, which reflects the added cost of transportation. A doubling of cargo value occurs if the market for that commodity is cornered. Unforeseen events during the game may resupply cargo at ports. Thus, trading of cargo is stimulated.

  • Patent number: 4522407
Abstract: A board game of the kind wherein players are represented by pieces movable on a board along a track of main stations. The number of stations is selected by chance prior to each piece's movement and each player may effect financial transactions, the nature of which transaction depends on the main station on which each player's piece lands. The game includes two tracks of main stations, four transit stations enabling movement from one track to the other and a track of index stations along which an index token may move to modify the purchasing power of the currency by which the transactions are effected. One of the two main tracks has a higher proportion of a first type of main station and a lower proportion of a second type of main station than the other main track. Abstract: A stock exchange game is disclosed. A circular playing board is divided into forty spaces at the outer periphery with some spaces representing companies, color coded states of the economy, taxes due, collect dividends, etc. Each company space has a stock price window. There is one state of the economy window. An information board is rotatably mounted under the playing board. The information board has color coded states of the economy and corresponding color coded stock prices. When a state of the economy aligns with the respective window in the playing board, related stock prices align with their respective company windows in the playing board. Players move tokens around the board in response to dice rolls. The state of the economy changes and in turn the stock prices of the companies change when a player lands on an economy condition space. This information board is rotated accordingly and the stock prices change. Stocks are bought and sold during the game.
