The target holding system has a first bracket, connected to a second bracket with a first lateral support and a second lateral support. A central plate is connected to the first bracket and the second bracket and further comprising a first side first opening and a second side first opening. A rotating rod is rotatably connected to the first bracket and the second bracket and further comprising a first side slot and a second side slot. The target further comprises a central stem connected to a circular target, a first side leg and a second side leg. In a first mode of operation, the first side leg is slid through the first side slot and into the first side first opening while the second side leg is slid through second side slot and into the second side first opening. When the bullet strikes the circular target, the central stem remains upright.

Abstract: Paintball targets including a battleship having an array of smaller targets pivotally mounted on a base that is shaped to resemble the shape of a ship's hull. The smaller targets are designed to swing back on a hinge to display an image of fire and destruction, upon the impact of a paintball projectile on the target's face, thus visually providing the user with the satisfaction of knowing that he/she has destroyed the intended target. A vortex drive track is also disclosed having multiple spinning targets each carried on a corresponding cord that is suspended at a slight angle. When a target is hit by a paintball projectile it spins on its cord. This vertical rotation, along with the downward slope of the cord, and the assistance of gravity will force the target to progress down the cord.

The apparatus includes a screen having a top end and a bottom end and a support assembly having a top end and a bottom end that extends upwardly from the base. The bottom end of the screen is attached near the front of the base and the top end of the screen is attached to the support assembly. The support rod can be replaced with a batting tee.

The float maintains stability with the use of a weight that is submerged under the water and is connected to the float by a string. There are three embodiments regarding the targets geometry and interaction with the float and water.
