  • Patent number: 5516114
Abstract: A game board and plurality of game pieces, are provided, called "jumpertop clipper disks". A jumpertop clipper disk is fun because it may be jump-flighted by flexing it between thumb and forefinger, aiming, and quick-releasing, so that it will jump forth as an aimed, self propelled projectile, toward positively scored targets and negatively scored hazards. This requires skill in aiming and quick-releasing to hit targets and avoid hazards. Clipper disks may be decorated with indicia and logo. They may be clipped onto clothes, hair, school books, and personal effects as decorations. They may be linked, one to another, to form a chain of identifiable, collectible disks, for team identity. Score is kept for each jump-flight. The highest net score for player or for team, is the winner.

  • Patent number: 5318307
Abstract: A game of skill and strategy that can be played on almost any surfaces (grass, sand, water, cement, etc.), indoors as well as outdoors. This game shows some resemblance with "tic-tac-toe". The game comprises a reception frame divided into nine squares and four groups of disks, two for each player. The squares from targets to be hit with the disks. The first set of disks is made up of at least nine disks of the same diameter, density and thickness. The second set has only three disks of a larger diameter than those of the first group. The larger size of the disks of the second set makes them harder to lodge in the target squares. This is compensated by the fact that a larger disk can remove one of the opponent's disks and take possession of the square. First, the players take turns trying to toss the small disk into the squares. After this phase, they use the larger disks to try to dislodge the opposing player's disks and gain an advantage on him.

  • Patent number: 5282635
Abstract: A game involving the tossing or pitching of a marker(s) onto a board having numbers marked thereon and representing possible pin counts in the game of bowling, is scored using the scoring system developed for bowling. Areas of equal size are marked with the numbers one through eight, with a central cup having a value of ten points; a concentric area around the cup has a value of nine. Players toss markers, such as a twenty five cent coin, toward the board and attempt to bounce the marker off of the board surface and into the raised cup to score a strike. The cup is removable from the underlying retainer portion to facilitate the removal of any markers or coins which land therein. Various possible marker positions are provided for in the scoring. The board and central cup may be constructed to any scale deemed suitable or desired.

  • Patent number: 5265884
Abstract: This invention discloses a game of skill which brings into play the delightful and astonishing behavior of round rolling magnets. Players take turns tossing disc-shaped magnets into a cylindrical cup. The magnets gradually begin to stack up inside the cup, and eventually pile up above the rim to form a growing tower. The object is always to add a magnet to the stack without overturning the cup or the tower. Inevitably, the tower finally crashes down, and another round of the game begins.

  • Patent number: 5207433
Abstract: The present invention relates to a variation of the traditional American football game concentrating on the passing aspects which demands virtually all of the athletic skills of traditional football, but capable of being played by a minimal number of players, preferably varying from three to five players. The subject game including new apparatus and method of playing employs a number of the refinements of the professional football passing game, based upon its timing and spacing aspects to provide a real athletic challenge, which game may be played on a smaller field, on both inside and outside facilities, the playing field consisting of a level open space at least 40 yards long and 30 yards wide. Spaced-apart markers are used to designate the offensive receiver positions for thrown passes and varied defensive alignments to prevent successful passing into a plurality of stationary nets or baskets.

  • Patent number: 5205564
Abstract: A ball catching net apparatus which has a back net from which extends, in a parallel relationship, sidewalls with a top wall interconnecting between the parallel sidewalls. The top wall, sidewalls and the back wall define a ball confining area. Within this ball confining area is located a pair of downwardly extending nets which are mounted on a mounting frame. Each of the downwardly extending nets can be used separately or together in order to achieve maximum absorption of the energy from the ball that is being directed into these nets. The mounting frame is to be pivotable between an extended position and a retracted position with the retracted position being located directly against the back net. Both of the downwardly extending nets are to be rolled up, each on a roller, into a storing position on the mounting frame.
