Abstract: The invention relates to dartboard games, where projectiles are thrown at a target. The face of the dartboard has a realistic, lifelike image of a game animal, and the higher scoring regions correlate to the kill zone of the game animal's anatomy. Lower scoring regions correlate to the rest of the body of the game animal, and penalty scoring regions may be present, scoring negative points. Players try to land their darts in certain scoring regions in order to score the most points, depending upon the rules of the game. Rules are provided for a 300 point and 21 point game. If the images are printed on the dartboard, the darts may be thrown or launched with an apparatus like a mini-bow or blow-gun. If the images are projected, the darts may be virtual.

Abstract: An animal decoy comprising a coil spring, where the coil spring is shaped to resemble at least a portion of a body of an animal, and an exterior fabric layer over at least a portion of the coil spring. The compressible coil spring inside the body is configured to expand to press the material into a shape of an animal torso when released and can be compressed to a generally flat position. The coil spring extends from a solid front end of a decoy to a solid rear end of the decoy. The decoy also comprises removable antlers and tail. The decoy also comprises positionable ears that can be manipulated by a user.

Abstract: A shooting practice target that includes a roll with an elongated sheet having multiple images. The sheet is movable across a shooting zone formed in a frame. The sheet is movable across the shooting zone to position each of the images for use as a target. A back support may be positioned behind (away from the user) the sheet to support and position the images for viewing by the user.

Abstract: The present invention is a three-dimensional archery target that simulates an animal and has multiple primary target zones disposed on a central body section. A front end section which includes a head and a rear end section which includes a tail are interchangeably mounted on the central body section. Similarly, front and rear leg sections are also interchangeably mounted on the central body section so that the central body section can be selectively reversed, thereby changing the orientation of the animal's front to back on the target. By reversing the target's orientation, the designated primary target zones can be changed on the central body section, thereby extending the useable life of the archery target.

The plurality of cables is attached to the frame in staggered orientation to one another, and each of the plurality of cables is interchangeable with any other cable of congruent dimension. The plurality of cables is attached to the frame in zigzag orientation to one another. The impact of bullets, mortars, and varying other ammunition rounds upon the plurality of cables is dampened in the loose hanging cables, thereby resulting in a less violent blow to the overall target apparatus. The target apparatus is capable of multiple uses before total destruction of the target apparatus.

Abstract: The invention is a portable and modular shelter that are assembled and erected to serve as a background or expendable facade for range targets used in live ammunition target practice and combat exercises. The panels of the modular and portable shelter are ballistically designed to let rounds of ammunition pass through with as little damage to the panels as possible. Additionally, the panels do not cause the ballistic projectiles passing through to scatter, splashback, or ricochet. The modular and portable shelters have no lasting environmental impact if erected temporarily.

The target consists of a hollow outer shell, in round or polygon configuration, a plurality of interchangeable cores, and an optional rigid cap. To maintain inner compression core location, elastic bands may be used to secure the rigid cap to the hollow outer shell. The target may consist of a hollow outer shell, in round or polygon configuration, a plurality of interchangeable cores, and an optional rigid cap. The present disclosure also relates to a method of manufacturing a portable archery target. The method includes adding a resin into a mold cavity that defines a geometric shape of the portable archery target. The mold cavity has a first surface that defines a first target zone and a second surface that defines a second target zone. At least the first surface has a contour that provides a three-dimensional animal-simulating target. The method also includes closing the mold cavity to form a foam body and removing the foam body from the mold cavity.

Abstract: The rolling target device includes a base and an upstanding target window frame disposed at one end of the base. The target window frame has an opening for displaying a printed target. The opposite end of the base includes a clamp for holding a roll of paper. A selective printing assembly is disposed in the base and operatively connected to a paper feeding assembly such that discreet portions of the paper web may be printed with a desired target design and fed through the target window to expose the target design at the cutout. The printing assembly includes interchangeable printing stamps of various designs that may be selectively attached to a printing platen. The paper roll may be paper towels or toilet paper.

The decoy can also include a carrying aperture, having an interior surface, and a reinforcement member positioned to cover at least a portion of the interior surface of the carrying aperture. The body portion of the decoy can further contain textural ridges and a carrying strap, which passes through the carrying aperture.

Abstract: A device is disclosed for attracting predetermined species of animals based on fractal geometry and the animal's own color perception. The device includes a planar object having at least two opposed faces and a shape unique to the fractal dimension of the predetermined animal species which the device is designed to attract. A light emitting surface is disposed on at least one face of the planar object. The surface is covered with light generating elements adapted to emit a light color based on color perception of the predetermined specific species, which color wavelength and brilliance is unnatural in normal surroundings relative to that species' own color perception. Finally, a mechanism is provided for mounting the object and enabling oscillatory-like movement in the object about an axis thereof.

Abstract: A frame structure holds a paper roll in the top part and releasable spring loaded pressure bars hold the roll and the leading edge of the paper stretched taut across the frame for shooting arrows through the paper and release to allow feeding a hole-free portion of paper from the roll. Once the paper is fed, springs pull the pressure bars together to apply pressure to the top of the paper roll and the leading edge of the paper on the opposite side of the frame so that the paper is held tight. An arrow may be shot through the tight paper to determine the trueness of flight. If the arrow flies true, the tear of the fletching is evenly spaced around the hole of the shaft.

Abstract: Improved targets suitable for cutting with an edged weapon are disclosed. In an embodiment the target is a prism made of polyethylene foam with a hole for receiving a peg and an external indicia alerting the practitioner of the depth of the hole and, thereby, what portion of the target may be cut without risk of cutting the peg. In an embodiment the target is comprises a polyethylene foam tube or rod with the exterior cylindrical wall covered by a sheath of material, such as paper, that prevents the foam from bending and thereby increases the rigidity of the target. An improved peg for receiving and positively, but removably, engaging a foam target is also disclosed.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are improved targets suitable for cutting with an edged weapon. In an embodiment the target may be a traditional straw mat target held together by a hydraulic binder composition. In yet other embodiments, the target may be made of multiple layers of synthetic materials to give different properties. One embodiment is a target with an inner portion and an outer portion. The outer portion may be selected from a material that gives the appropriate initial cutting properties while the inner portion provides a cutting resistance. In addition, shaped targets having multiple differing cutting surfaces are disclosed, as is a method for creating a target to simulate a predefined sequence of cuts.

Abstract: This invention is a new-type, full-scale, tank-target silhouette for use in tank gunnery practice with the main gun of a tank. The new target employs lightweight sheet material that is corrugated in the manner of an accordion-door (or pleated) configuration to produce a self-supporting, rigid target silhouette which can be raised and lowered, and which can sustain multiple hits without collapsing. The corrugation configuration, when clamped along the bottom edge of the ridges and grooves, provides the necessary rigidity for the target to stand upright without other vertical structural members which could be hit and destroyed.
