Abstract: In general, a connector designed to slip on a tubular, or an extension thereof, may be locked onto the tubular and a seal created around the tubular to keep pressure trapped inside the tubular. Generally, the connector is slipped over and makes contact with the tubular via a sliding sleeve seal cover. In certain embodiments, when sufficient force is placed on the connector, one or more shear pins, which are holding the sleeve, are sheared, allowing the connector to be lowered onto the tubular and the seal to make contact with the tubular. The connector may be locked onto the tubular by means of a one piece slip energized by a cam typically held in place mechanically by one or more ratchets.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing seals around the motor leads and other conductors in ESP's. In one embodiment, elastomeric boot seals are positioned within annular spaces around motor leads in an ESP motor. When the motor is filled with dielectric oil, the elastomeric material of the boot seals absorbs some of the oil and swells. High temperatures may also cause the material of the seals to expand. Retainers which are not subject to swelling are positioned around the boot seals, thereby preventing the boot seals from expanding away from the leads. The retainers thereby maintain the seal of the boot seals against the motor leads.

Abstract: Sealing apparatus for applying corrosion prevention compound in the gap between flanges without using heat consists of 3 units including hydraulic power unit, compound injection cylinder unit, and flange belt unit. The present invention is used to apply corrosion prevention compound in the gap between flanges without using heat for melting the compound before sealing. The compound injection cylinder unit comprises two integrally formed cylinders sharing one connecting rod wherein the lower cylinder defines the hydraulic cylinder and the upper cylinder defines the compound injection cylinder. The compound injection cylinder unit is vertically formed on a pushcart provided with wheels for manual transportation. A threaded coupler is provided on top of the lid of the compound injection cylinder for connection with a hose for transferring the compound to the inlet on the flange belt unit. The flange belt unit is provided in various diameters from 2-24 inches.

Abstract: A ultra-violet liquid processing device comprises a liquid processor, a lamp holder, a latching mechanism provided within the lamp holder, and a lamp holder fixed cover provided with a lock hole therein. The latching mechanism comprises a locking dog able to extend from or retract into the lamp holder and a water nozzle blocker. When the lamp holder is pressed on the liquid processor and connected with the liquid processor by lamp holder fixed cover, the locking dog projects from the lamp holder and enter into the lock hole of the lamp holder fixed cover, so that the lamp holder fixed cover is locked and cannot move. By means of the lamp holder fixed cover being locked by the latching mechanism and not able to be moved, the ultra-violet liquid processing device is sealed reliably by means of the substantial structure.
