Abstract: “A flame resistant fabric with better tear strength and specifically a flame resistant fabric with tear strength flame resistant 100% cotton yarn are provided. The 100% cotton yarn is produced using a combination of compact spinning technology and gassing and/or singeing process performed in tandem, the yarn is weaved into fabric by pre-established process and the fabric is flame retardant finished by using chemicals and lubricants by pre-established process to form the flame resistant fabric with better tear strength. Also, a method of manufacturing the flame resistant cotton fabric that has a better tear strength after fire resistant treatment s provided. Advantageously, the flame resistant fabric is affordable, light weight and has better tensile and tear strength.
Abstract: An apparatus (V) for the singeing of threads (1), preferably of a thread assembly, for example for use in the manufacture of a carpet, the thread assembly comprising twisted threads of a plastic material, such as nylon (polyamides), polyester and the like. The apparatus (V) comprises a heat section, and a burner (5) which produces a singeing flame (7). The threads (1) run, upstream and/or downstream of the singeing flame (7), through the heat section (18), the heat section being formed independently of the burner (5) and being set at a temperature influencing the macromolecular structure of the plastic material.
Abstract: A burner unit for the singeing of flat textile structures and the like, in particular a burner unit for singeing machines having a combustion chamber and ramp stones forming one or more singe slits, the combustion chamber being fed from a gaseous mixture chamber via preferably two or more parallel burner slits. A ramp stone is arranged adjustably movable for changing the singe slit and/or the combustion chamber.
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for singeing cane material to remove the protruding cane fiber that naturally exists with cane material. Cane is moved through gas flames which singe or burn off the cane fibers while leaving the basic cane body undamaged by the flames.
