Animal And Vehicle Draft Patents (Class 280/416)
  • Patent number: 8684412
Abstract: A Collapsible Trailer. The trailer is lightweight, but durable, and includes a set of detachable deck segments that can be assembled into a deck. The trailer further includes a suspension assembly that attaches to the deck once the deck is assembled or, alternatively, is permanently attached to one deck segment. Intra-deck segment support is provided by slidable rods that are extendable to bridge between a pair of adjacent segments. Each deck segment has a male edge to be inserted into a female edge to create an exceedingly strong, interlocking hinge-like structure. The deck and trailer can be assembled without the need for any tools. The deck segments, when disassembled, are stackable into a condensed deck stack. A foldable suspension facilitates the stackable storage and transportation of the trailer. The trailer is convertible into a cargo platform that can be attached directly to a conventional trailer hitch receiver on a vehicle.

  • Patent number: 7350790
Abstract: A snowmobile dolly usable with a wide variety of snowmobiles of different sizes and/or designs. The dolly approaches the snowmobile from the front and engages its front bumper. A downward force on the tongue of the dolly raises the snowmobile and positions the front wheels of the dolly under the front of the snowmobile. An auxiliary rear axle is then slid under a rear portion of the snowmobile. A swivel connection on the front bumper-engaging member allows the snowmobile supported by the dolly to be easily maneuvered in tight spaces. An additional feature of the dolly is that it may also be reconfigured for use as a jack stand allowing service or repair work to be performed. The dolly is adapted to be towed behind a riding lawnmower, yard tractor, or the like, further enhancing the utility of the dolly.

  • Patent number: 6866286
Abstract: A tractor having a cargo box and an axle mounted hitch ball in which the hitch ball projects upward through an opening in the cargo box floor. This arrangement enables the ball to be used when the cargo box is mounted to the tractor. Furthermore, since the ball is mounted to the axle and not the cargo box, greater load carrying capacity is achieved and the hitch can be used when the box removed from the tractor.

  • Patent number: 6135059
Abstract: A modified scooter that has a frame with a low center portion. A rider stands on this center portion. A front wheel is mounted to a fork and has steering control as in the case of a normal scooter. Extending forward from the frame is a curved tow member. The curved tow member acts as a transfer bow. It is designed to fasten to a tow rope, which is then attached to a dog or dogs. The position and attachment point of the transfer bow are designed to transfer the pulling force to a point low on the center of gravity of the scooter. This keeps the scooter stable under all operating conditions. The scooter can be a hauling sled also. By lengthening the frame and adding additional wheels, the scooter can carry loads. The transfer bow can be attached to other types of wheeled vehicles as well to achieve similar results.
