Laterally Spaced Parallel Connections Patents (Class 280/460.1)
  • Patent number: 6755433
Abstract: A transportable storage container assembly for transport by a tow vehicle. The assembly includes a trailer having a center rail with a two-point trailer hitch at the front end and a pivotable single wheel at the rear end. The trailer has a first cross channel adjacent the front end of the rail and a second cross channel adjacent the rear end of the rail. A storage container mounted on the trailer includes bottom support skids at each end that seat in the cross channels and are secured in the channels by casters that are attached to the skids through mounting holes in the cross channels. There is a jack on the bottom of the trailer rail adjacent the midpoint to facilitate the raising of the trailer for attachment to, and disattachment from, the tow vehicle trailer hitch.

Abstract: The tractor hitch guide is a modification of a three-point tractor hitch and of the corresponding pinning structures of the implement. The modified tractor hitch includes bushings located on the links of the two side arms, to extend the openings of the links in a direction coaxially outward with the openings. The modified pinning structures of the implement include a spring-loaded latching pin that automatically latches with the link when it is in its aligned position. Centering brackets are provided for horizontally aligning the links and a spring-loaded leveling plate is provided for vertical alignment, when the tractor is backed into the implement.

  • Publication number: 20030090083
Abstract: A removable supplementary hitch pivots into operational position on a trailer tongue in concert with a primary trailer hitch of the dependent vehicle used in pulling the trailer. The secondary hitch includes at least one additional hitch between the trailing vehicle and the dependent vehicle. Another additional hitch is also commonly provided resulting in an additional hitch on either side of the primary hitch. To introduce a measure of tolerance to breaking the connection through unwanted turning of the power vehicle after the secondary hitch is attached between the vehicles, the connection between the bar and the channel may comprise a flexible spring connection that allows the bar to move off parallel to the channel in absorbing unwanted turning forces while biasing the bar to return to its parallel position.

  • Publication number: 20010004018
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a lateral position of a first member on a hitch of a work machine. A first processing device receives a first signal indicative of a desired turn radius of the work machine and transmits a first desired hitch position as a function of the first signal. A second processing device receives a second signal indicative of an actual hitch position and also receives the first desired hitch position. The second processing device transmits a first error as a function of the second signal and the desired hitch position. A controller receives the first error and transmits a second error as a function of the first error. A first member modulator receives the first error and transmits a first activation signal as a function of the second error. The first activation signal controls the lateral position of the first member.
