Abstract: An improved convertible cart can be converted from a hand truck to a platform by a simple pull of a spring loaded adjustment arm. The convertible cart has reversible wire retainers. When the edge of the wire retainer is facing upward, it prevents an object being carried from shifting sideways off of the rails. The wire retainers can also be flipped downwards to allow an oversized object to be carried flat and extend outside the retaining rails. The toe plate of the cart can be used as a seat with a pad that can be attached as a weeding pad either from the seated or kneeling position. The cart's handle frame can be sleeves into its base frame so that entire cart can be packed tightly within the tub to allow the tub to be the principal storage and delivery means for display, sale and shipment.

  • Patent number: 8550476
Abstract: A hand truck comprised of a frame assembly and a wheel assembly connected by slidable cylinders permitting both vertical and rotational movement between the cylinders. The frame assembly cylinder is mounted at a predetermined angle so that when the cylinder is vertical, the frame is reclined in a load balanced attitude. While in the load balanced attitude, the frame assembly can be raised by any suitable means in relation to the wheel assembly on a surface. Once the frame assembly is at a height great enough to clear the wheels, the wheel assembly can be rotated thus enabling movement parallel to a linier load. Further, when the frame assembly is in the lower position, the two slidable cylinders are locked together to provide use as a conventional hand truck or unlocked and reoriented, thus providing the ability to move a linier load laterally with ample ground clearance.

In one embodiment, work piece arms for supporting work items are pivotally connected to the front of the vertical frame allowing them to swing into horizontal position and then fold down into a vertical position. Also attached to the vertical frame is a strut that is also pivotally connected to the front face of the vertical frame. The strut swings up to support the work piece arm when it is in the horizontal position. The equipment carrier also has components for carrying additional accessories work items needed.

  • Patent number: 8172239
Abstract: A shopping cart has upper, lower and intermediate frames. The frames have a front, rear, sides, two front corners and two rear corners. The lower and intermediate frames each have a rigid screen. Four upper posts couple the front corners of the upper and intermediate frames. Two rear posts couple the rear corners of the upper and intermediate frames. Two lower posts couple the rear corners of the intermediate and lower frames. Each of the posts has a midpoint with a hinge dividing each post into an upper segment and a lower segment. Each hinge is adapted to be pivoted between a linear orientation and a non-linear orientation. In the linear orientation the segments of the posts are perpendicular to the frames and the shopping cart is in an expanded orientation. In the non-linear orientation the segments the post are parallel with the frames and the shopping cart is in a contracted orientation.

  • Patent number: 8167323
Abstract: The handcart has various embodiments, each embodiment having a pair of larger wheels at the back of the load-carrying platform and a rear axle located above the plane of at least the forward portion of the platform. Smaller caster wheels are mounted on arms extending forward and outward from the forward corners of the platform. The outward ends of the arms are displaced upwardly to place the platform bottom only very slightly higher than the bottoms of the forward casters, thus increasing stability by lowering the center of gravity of the cart and contents, and facilitating loading and unloading of the cart due to the very low platform. The cart need not be tilted rearward to lift the platform from the floor, but may be pushed over the underlying surface with the load-carrying platform remaining level and with all four wheels rolling over the underlying surface.
