The longitudinal beam has an upper flange bonded to the upper inner surface of the shell, a lower flange bonded to the lower inner surface of the shell, and a web interconnecting the upper flange and the lower flange. The skateboard deck further comprises a generally rigid exterior portion encasing the core member. The exterior portion comprises at least one layer of wood disposed above or below the shell.

    Abstract: A sliding device for sliding on the ground down a sloped or inclined surface (grass, dirt, sand, synthetic turf, etc.) has an upper deck and a slide mechanism mounted below and in parallel with the upper deck. The slide mechanism has a slide base of an elongated planar member with opposite radiused ends, and an endless anti-friction belt entrained to slide around the slide base. The belt can be made of high-density plastic, rubber, or a track belt. The slide base surfaces and inner surfaces of the belt may be coated with plastic laminating material to increase slipperiness. The slide base has ends of selected radius of curvature to generate friction forces with the moving belt that provide a “speed limiting” function that slows the device from excessive speeds. In a preferred embodiment, the sliding device is shaped as a body board made of foam material having the slide mechanism recessed in a cavity formed within the bottom of the body to keep the rider's hands or feet from contacting the moving belt.

    Abstract: A recreational assistance device having a streamline shaped substantially open main body with four large pneumatic tires to allow the device to move easily over rough terrain. The device is equipped with a braking system including at least one brake handle. A safety harness may be secured to the braking system and worn by a user to automatically actuate the braking system if the person falls, slips or stumbles when jogging or walking. The handle bars and other upper portions of the device are preferably padded and the rear wheels have associated movable stops to allow the device to be stopped and held in a rest or stop position. The four-wheel recreational assistance device may be provided with telescoping supporting arms for a carrying bag for holding packages or other materials.

An E-shaped bracket features three legs that are connected to outer sections so that two openings are defined to receive beverage containers or the like. The bracket is secured to the wall with the ends of the legs engaging the cavities, the pins passing through the bores and the enlarged pin head portions positioned within the wells. Curved surfaces are molded in the inner panel and face the bracket openings and a ledge is molded in the inner panel and positioned below the bracket. A sticker or the like placed on the outer panel covers the wells.
