Abstract: The scooter of the present invention includes a footboard, a steering column and a connecting member in between. An engaging member is provided for engaging the rear portion of the connecting member with the front portion of the footboard at the respective open and folded conditions. A rotational driving member operating between a locked position and a released position is provided for driving said engaging member between the open and folded conditions. A first biasing device is provided for disengaging the engaging member from the connecting member and the footboard at the released position of the driving member. The driving member is acted against the biasing device to engage the engaging member with the connecting member and the footboard at the locked position. The engaging member can be easily and conveniently engaged and disengaged by turning the driving member between the locked and released positions.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved scooter with one free-swaying rear-wheel set respectively located at rear end of the two fixed holding rods. The feature is making use of rear-wheel sets that can sway freely to make said two rear wheels move leftward and rightward; hence, when operator's feet exert strength on said two fixed holding rods, the said two rear wheels will be driven to move forward like S-shaped pathway. Moreover, by means of the coordination of the front wheel, stand rod and handle, the operator will be able to practice different car-driving actions of turning the body, hips and hands around, and different strength-exerting ways, e.g. twisting foot by foot or two feet synchronously. Therefore, the operation of a scooter has the effect of being simple, having the feature of both fun and recreation.

Abstract: A therapeutic roller board apparatus includes a rigid support board with planar top and bottom sides extending along an entire longitudinal length of the roller board apparatus. The apparatus further includes a plurality of brackets directly coupled to the bottom side of the support board, and a plurality of casters pivotally mated directly to the brackets. A mechanism for maintaining a foot of a user is securely affixed to the top side of the support board such that a longitudinal length of the user foot extends parallel to the longitudinal length of the roller board apparatus. Such a foot maintaining mechanism is adjustably positional along the top side of the support board, and the foot maintaining mechanism is detachably from the support board.

  • Patent number: 7377528
Abstract: The inventive device includes a tricycle frame comprising a front wheel steering mechanism, the left and right trailing arms with folding mechanism, the left and right rear wheel brake systems, and a cambering mechanism. The improvements have been made to the construction and operation of cambering mechanism, the trailing arm folding and locking mechanism and the handlebar. It provides better maneuverability and stability during cambering maneuver, easier operation of folding, and quick assembly and disassembly of a one-piece handlebar. This is achieved through an original cambering mechanism with a rocking-bar connecting spherical bearings and a polymer energy-storing element, and an original, easy to operate and anti-disengagement sleeve-type folding mechanism, and a one-piece steering handlebar with quick handlebar locking mechanism.

  • Patent number: 7370870
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for controlling a brake (11) of a wheeled walking frame (10) provided with a handle (12), including a control device (25) movably connected to the brake (11) via a connector (24) for controlling the braking effect using hand power, the control device (25) being displaceable between an idle position without braking effect and at least one braking position for braking effect. The control device (25) is movably connected to a cover (23) of the handle (12), which cover (23) is designed for receiving and partially encasing the control device (25), the control device (25) being, in the idle position, at least partially retracted into the cover (23) so that the cover (23) and the control device (25) form the handle (25). Furthermore, the control device (25) is displaceable from the idle position further into the cover (23) to the braking position while effecting the connector (24).
