Abstract: The present invention relates to systems, methods, and apparatuses for the management, distribution, dispensing, and administration of consumer products, including over-the-counter and prescription medications through use of a product container labeling system and an optional integrated computer-based or online management system. In certain aspects, the invention relates to a product container comprising a hollow body, a child-resistant cap, and a specialized information label affixed to the hollow body.

Abstract: Characteristics of a book are determined. A plurality of maximum-likelihood dates associated with text pages within the book is accessed. A maximum-likelihood date for a text page indicates a time period during which that text page was most likely to have been written. The plurality of maximum-likelihood dates is ordered according to the maximum-likelihood dates' associated text pages, from a first text page for which a maximum-likelihood date is available to a last text page for which a maximum-likelihood date is available. The ordered plurality of maximum-likelihood dates is analyzed according to a heuristic to determine characteristics of the book.

Abstract: A system includes a board comprising a first surface comprising an area identified for allowing a user to identify prescriptions, an area identified for allowing a user to identify times for taking the prescription, and an area identified for allowing a user to removably mark the board upon dispensing pills into a weekly or monthly pill organizer. A first plurality of strips movably and releasably is attachable to the first surface of the board in the area identified for labeling prescription medications. The first plurality of strips comprises a front surface operable for allowing a user to removably label prescription medications. A second plurality of strips is movably and releasably attachable to the first surface of the board in the area identified for labeling times for taking the prescription medications. The second plurality of strips comprising a front surface operable for allowing a user to removably label times for taking the prescription medications.

Abstract: Current medication labels are very difficult for people with disabilities, language barriers, functional impairments, or illiteracy to read, potentially increasing the risk for accidental medication overdoses and/or poor compliance with medication administration and adherence. By having a color coded sticker system with an enclosed full body guide in the form of a poster, and a home health medication record card, these stickers are placed on each medication bottle as a symbol for what the medication is used for. The stickers are color coded in order to distinguish the time the medication is to be administered. Home health agencies may use the poster and stickers as they educate their patients about the medications they take.

Abstract: Vouchers and methods for providing vouchers configured to assist in distinguishing unauthorized duplicate or counterfeit vouchers are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a voucher can include a substrate, a first indicia on the substrate, and a thermally responsive second indicia on the substrate. At least one of the first indicia and the second indicia can indicate a value of the voucher. A system which assists in detecting alteration of value documents or transmissions, such as a coin counter voucher is provided. Voucher information such as the voucher value is included in the voucher in an encrypted or otherwise modified form. When the voucher is presented for redemptions, the encrypted information is decrypted and compared to independently available voucher information. Failure of the information to match indicates that the voucher has been altered or should otherwise be further checked.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for various lottery, gaming and other applications. The systems and methods may be configured to extract player selection data from a digital image of a selection slip or other document. The extraction of player selection data may be based on information read from the slip indicating how player-written marks found on the slip should be interpreted.

Abstract: Miniaturized scoreboard consumer product methods and products include an item for use as a consumer product, and a miniaturized scoreboard with a predetermined score at a predetermined time of a predetermined sporting event, wherein the miniaturized scoreboard is on a surface of the item. The miniaturized scoreboard consumer product may include a predetermined name of a first participant in the predetermined sporting event, a predetermined name of a second participant in the predetermined sporting event, or any number of additional predetermined names of additional participants in the predetermined sporting event. The miniaturized scoreboard consumer product may include a predetermined name of the predetermined sporting event and/or a predetermined date of said predetermined sporting event.

Abstract: A system, method and device for selectively tracking expenditures against a total monetary amount. The device includes a support having a plurality of response areas for presenting information for selection, and printing indicative of one or more discrete monetary amounts, each amount a small fraction of the total monetary amount as a discrete budget unit. The printing is fixed to the support within each response area. The plurality of response areas and the printing are arranged on the support in a distributed fashion such that the aggregate of the representations of the discrete monetary amounts equals the total monetary amount. The arrangement of the printing and response areas provides a visual representation of the total monetary amount as a distribution of discrete monetary amounts. Expenditure amounts are tracked by canceling, for each expenditure amount, a corresponding amount of the discrete printed representations to approximate the expenditure amount.

Abstract: A medication reminder system is provided for allowing patients, especially those with memory or eyesight problems, to improve compliance with a medication regimen that has been prescribed by their physician. The system is organized for ease of patient identification by recording medications in blank or color-coded fields upon a sheet to match an indicator associated with a medication container. The sheet also includes markings associated with some or all of the medications which provide a way for the patient to gain more information about the medication.

Abstract: A baseball score card and method for providing a reusable device for keeping records of the events occurring during a baseball game. The baseball score card and method includes a planar sheet member having a front face and a rear face. Each face includes sections having indicia arranged for facilitating keeping records of the events occurring during a baseball game. The faces are selectively markable to correspond to play results. In an embodiment, the planar sheet member is laminated to permit wiping away of markings in the sections on each face.
