Patent number: 9015921Abstract: A method for fabricating pallets for an escapement system concerns the field of escapement systems for timepieces. The method includes forming integrally, using a first material, a lever of pallets. A first end of the lever includes a dart. A second end of the lever includes two arms each for receiving a pallet stone. The method includes over-moulding a second material different from the first material on the first end of the lever in order to form a pallets fork. The method includes mounting the pallet stones and a staff to enable the pallets to be rotatably mounted.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2012Date of Patent: April 28, 2015Assignee: Nivarox-Far S.A.Inventors: Arthur Queval, Laurent Kaelin, Thomas Wyss

Patent number: 6037077Abstract: An electrode assembly constructed of continuous anode and cathode electrode that are overlaid in overlapping fashion and folded several times rather than wound into a cylinder in the conventional "jelly roll" electrode assembly. The electrode assembly has a first side that is curved substantially along a single arc and a second side opposite the first side that is curved substantially along a plurality of arcs. The electrode assembly is designed for casings for electrochemical cells or batteries having profiles that are not well suited for the jelly roll configuration.Type: GrantFiled: July 8, 1998Date of Patent: March 14, 2000Assignee: Wilson Greatbatch Ltd.Inventor: Michael R. Patent number: 5698086Abstract: An electroforming process and apparatus for forming an electroform with a roughened surface. The present invention roughens the surface of the mandrel using a sandblasting device in the center region of the mandrel allowing the two end regions to remain smooth. The intersection of the roughened center region and each of the two end regions form a step. This step on either side of the roughened center region facilitates sealing while the roughened center region enables toner distribution. The electroform created using the step roughened mandrel surface is separated from the mandrel without destroying the mandrel. The step roughened mandrel can then be reused to create another electroform with a roughened surface.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 1996Date of Patent: December 16, 1997Assignee: Xerox CorporationInventors: William G. Patent number: 5603737Abstract: The electrode structure includes a cathode, anode and polymeric separator, wound into an oval configuration having a length and width equal to interior dimensions of the rectangular housing. The oval shape is achieved by winding a long, flat electrode structure around a mandrel. The length of the electrode structure is chosen based upon the size of the mandrel, the interior dimensions of the housing, and the width of the electrode structure, such that, after winding, the resulting oval structure snugly fits within the rectangular housing leaving no remaining spaces, other than in corners of the housing. A leaf spring is provided between a free end of the electrode structure and an interior wall of the housing for ensuring that the electrode structure remains tightly wound. Appropriate electrical contacts are provided to the anode and cathode of the electrode structure.Type: GrantFiled: June 2, 1995Date of Patent: February 18, 1997Assignee: Pacesetter, Inc.Inventors: Nikola Marincic, Luka Rabadjija

Patent number: 4423542Abstract: A panel of thin bendable material is provided and includes one marginal portion thereof for disposition adjacent the worn side of a journal bore in a clock frame plate with the panel disposed parallelly in juxtaposition with one side of the plate. The aforementioned marginal portion of the panel includes a narrow elongated lengthwise outwardly projecting tongue disposed generally normal to the panel for reception in the worn side of the bore. The tongue is concavo-convex in cross section with the convex side opposing and seated against the worn side of the bore and the concave side of the tongue opposing the side of the bore remote from the worn side thereof. The tongue, therefore, defines an insert for renewing the worn side of the bore and against which the corresponding clock component shaft portion may be journaled.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 1980Date of Patent: January 3, 1984Inventor: Gregory Stolarczyk

Patent number: 4028967Abstract: A tool for the precision press-fitting of watch bearings, watch hands, collets and other precision press-fit parts. The tool is used in conjunction and as an attachment with traditional watchmakers' staking sets. The tool consists of a cylindrical metal rod, hollow and slit at its lower end to accommodate friction-fit pushers of various end-dimensions. The cylindrical rod is threaded in metrical or inch pitch for one-third of its lower length to accommodate a knurled disk upon which are marked the divisions of a linear unit, similar to the thimble of a micrometer. At its upper end, the rod is milled to a short rectangular section. Upon this rectangular end is positioned a flat metal clamp with close fitting but not tight, rectangular hole. The clamp is split at its outer end, forming two legs which are form-bent downward to straddle the gooseneck of a staking set. The threaded, micrometer nut is threaded up against the bottom of the staking set's hollow punch-guide.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 1976Date of Patent: June 14, 1977Inventor: Henry B. Fried
