Abstract: The fastener to shaft insertion tool is disclosed which consists of a shaft holding member, a fastener insertion member, and force transmitting member. The fastener holding member facilitates the holding of the fastener and the application of forces to the fastener necessary for its proper insertion onto a shaft. Forces are provided to the fastener holding member by way of a hydraulic or pneumatic actuator. The fasteners are inserted adjacent a ring or gear being coupled to the shaft.

Abstract: A machine having a machine tool operatively connected thereto by manually manipulatable fastening members. A fastening member receiving and retaining device is adapted for placement beneath the machine tool for catching fastening members when inadvertently dropped. A device for temporary attachment to the machine or machine adjacent surface, and a flexible cable device are provided for connecting the fastening member receiving and retaining device to the for temporary attachment. The flexible cable device is adapted to be manually positioned and shaped and to retain its shape and position in a self-sustaining manner while holding the fastening member receiving and retaining device beneath the machine tool.

Abstract: A free wheel body is inserted within the hub of a bicycle rear wheel while the pawls of the free wheel are temporarily held in their retracted positions by an auxiliary tool facilitating the mounting operation. The tool is constituted by a bush having a plurality of longitudinal wings which are elastically deformable. When the mounting operation has been carried out, the bush can be removed from body of the free wheel by making it slide rearwardly thereon.

Abstract: Apparatus for separating a member that is attached to an object within a predetermined degree of positioning accuracy by fasteners that can selectively engage and disengage the object. The apparatus comprises at least one biasing member positioned between at least one portion of the member and the object to bias the member away from the object when the fasteners are disengaged from the object.
