  • Patent number: 10512981
Abstract: The invention relates to recovery of tin-lead solder from electronic printed circuit board scrap. The scrap is placed in a liquid-permeable and/or gas-permeable container, which is placed in a liquid or gaseous heat-transfer medium heated to or above the melting temperature of the tin-lead solder. After the tin-lead solder is melted, the heat-transfer medium is removed from the container, then, by means of rotation of the container, the melted tin-lead solder and the remains of the heat-transfer medium are removed from the container. The device comprises a hollow container, which is mounted so as to be capable of rotation and is designed in the form of a body of revolution, and is liquid-permeable and/or gas-permeable in a radial direction from the axis of rotation. The container can be designed in the form of a drum, which can be vertically displaced and has perforated side walls.

  • Patent number: 8567031
Abstract: A stack of disk-like articles or can ends are transferred in an elongated tubular paper bag supported between opposing shoes, and the bag is removed from the stack by pulling the bag longitudinally or upwardly after a slitting knife blade moves or pivots from a retracted position to an extended position to pierce the bag and to slit the bag progressively and longitudinally. A stream or jet of air is directed against the end or top article in the stack to prevent the articles from moving with the bag or being flipped over in response to pulling the bag from the stack. Preferably, the air jet is directed from an air supply tube attached to the knife blade for movement with the blade between the retracted position and the extended position. The knife blade is shaped like a hawk beak and has a pointed tip and an arcuate knife edge.

Abstract: The invention provides a theft-inhibiting carrier which includes a body 12 having a chassis 16 on which three wheels 18 20 and 22 are mounted. The carrier 10 includes theft deterrent means 12. The theft deterrent means is configured, when activated, to dismount the wheels 20, 22 from their respective axles 44 but to retain them connected to the chassis 16 by an elongate flexible tether to impede the movement of the carrier. Two containers 60, 62 are provided and contain chemicals which are fed via pistons 68 to a mixing device 76 and into a valuables receiving chamber in which they foam and set thereby encasing valuables contained therein. A pair of arms 88 are pivotally displaced from a retracted position to an extended position in which they protrude from the containers 60, 62. Sharpened teeth 94 are provided on the arms to further inhibit displacement of the carrier.
