Abstract: A torque nut with an axially deformable projection protruding from the axially inner end face of the torque nut. The torque nut may be assembled as part of a compression fitting including one or more ferrules for engaging a tube held within the torque nut and a fitting body onto which the torque nut can be threaded. The axially deformable projection will engage an opposing face on the fitting body and this allows a person tightening the torque nut to to feel when the torque nut is madeup to prevent undermaking or overmaking the torque nut. When the axially deformable projection engages the fitting body, there will be an abrupt increase in torque needed to tighten the torque nut on the fitting body after only partial axial deformation of the axially deformable projection relative to the axially inner end face of the torque nut.

Abstract: A fastening device, e.g., for an electrical cable in a vehicle, has a sleeve which is lockable in a holder and which encloses the line. The sleeve has at least two sleeve subareas which are at least partially separable from one another in such a way that in a preinstalled state the line is inserted into an inner area of the sleeve, and the sleeve subareas are connectable to one another in such a way that in an installed state the line is completely annularly enclosed by the sleeve subareas. Due to the multipart configuration of the sleeve, it is easily mounted on a line. A resistant material such as a thermoplastic elastomer, which is processable with the aid of injection molding, is used for the sleeve.

Abstract: A seaming element for seaming an industrial textile, an industrial textile, and a method of seaming. A first region of the seaming element comprises at least one securing member, and a second region is securable to the textile. Spaced-apart protrusions in the securing members are interdigitatable with corresponding protrusions in an opposing element, or the other seamable edge of the textile. Opposing protrusions are interdigitated to define first and second channels for securing means. Where the seaming element has two or more securing members, the protrusions of the outer securing member are aligned with those of an inner securing member of the opposing element, and the protrusions of an inner securing member are aligned with those of the outer securing member of the opposing element. Where the securing means is a pintle, the free ends can be inserted back into the channel to secure the seam.
