Oscillating Tool Patents (Class 29/56)
  • Publication number: 20120117772
Abstract: An apparatus for working has an upper tool. A lower tool co-operates with the upper tool. The lower tool is arranged on a turntable of the apparatus. The turntable is pivotable from a loading position, in which the turntable is remote from the upper tool, to a working position, in which the lower tool is aligned with the co-operating upper tool. By a pivoting movement of the turntable, the work piece, inserted into the apparatus when the turntable is in the loading position, as well as the lower tool, can be brought under the upper tool.

  • Patent number: 8166622
Abstract: A machine for machining workpieces, for example plastic spectacle lenses, has a workpiece spindle which rotates the workpiece about a workpiece rotation axis, and a fast tool arrangement which moves a turning tool in the direction to and from the workpiece, wherein the workpiece spindle and the fast tool arrangement can moreover be moved relative to one another in a direction transverse to the workpiece rotation axis. A tool holder is connected to the fast tool arrangement and carries the turning tool. An engraving tool is spaced from the workpiece rotation axis and has an essentially point-shaped end facing towards the workpiece. The engraving tool can be moved in the direction of the workpiece and away therefrom in a highly dynamic manner via the tool holder, so that a marking can be produced on the workpiece in particular by a needling engagement of the engraving tool with the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 6865787
Abstract: A numerical control (NC) processor with an onboard grinding unit is disclosed in which a workpiece is first cut in a preselected contour with a Y-axis cutting tool, and then subjected to honing operation intact whereby both the cutting and honing operations can be performed with just a single processor with high-speed, high-acceleration. With the NC processor, the Y-axis cutting tool is mounted on a sliding base above an X-axis table in a way allowed to move back and forth in a Y-axis direction, while a grinding unit is installed in close proximity to the sliding base. A slider moves back and forth in synchronized relation with rotation of a work spindle to first let the Y-axis cutting tool cut the workpiece into a preselected contour, and then cause a buffing material of the grinding unit to grind a work surface of the workpiece into a high-quality surface finish in conformity with a programmed contour while the workpiece remains held intact in a chucking device.

  • Patent number: 6179361
Abstract: A pick-up truck with multi-position tailgate including a tailgate is coupled with respect to an open outer end of the bed of the pick-up truck. The tailgate has a pair of protrusions extending outwardly from opposing ends thereof for removably engaging a pair of apertures of the open outer to facilitate a hinged coupling with the pick-up truck. The tailgate has a pair of tabs extending outwardly of the opposing ends. The pair of tabs each have an elongated bracket extending outwardly therefrom. A pair of side tracks are secured to the opposed side walls of the bed of the pick-up truck. The pair of side tracks slidably receive free ends of the elongated brackets of the tailgate whereby the tailgate can be moved into a raised orientation.

  • Patent number: 4612834
Abstract: A cross slide contour forming box tool which can be applied to automatic screw machines for contour forming desired contours on the outside of a workpiece. The contour forming tool is positioned to a transverse slide perpendicular to the drive axis. The transverse slide is driven by a pin and cam groove in the face of a cam so that the contour forming tool is positioned in accordance with the shape of the cam groove. The workpiece is rotated relative to the contour forming tool and the desired contour is formed on the surface of the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 4428176
Abstract: An improved method and apparatus for providing a large number of sealing clips inside a vacuum food bagging machine comprising a coil of clips containing many more clips than the prior art straight magazine. The apparatus includes a racheting positive feeder which draws the line of clips off a reel holding the coil, and through a turning means to orient the clips for feeding into the existing clipping station of the bagging machine. The feeder does not permit the line of clips to back away from the clipping station.
