Means To Assemble Tire Stud Into Tire Tread Patents (Class 29/815)
  • Patent number: 10751859
Abstract: A fastener-installation system is described that includes a driver to drive a fastener into a structure and a fastener feeder to load the fastener into a loaded position of the driver. The fastener feeder includes a fastener magazine to hold a plurality of fasteners. The fastener-installation system further includes a driver head having a plurality of jaws moveable between a closed position and an expanded position. In the closed position, the plurality of jaws form a piercing tip to pierce material of the structure. Further, the jaws spread apart the material of the structure when the jaws move from the closed position to the expanded position to create a path through the material through which the fastener is driven.

  • Patent number: 9015947
Abstract: A method for locking a tire to a wheel rim, includes the steps of mounting a tubular tire locking element on the wheel rim, which tubular locking member is arranged with a valve, which valve is pushed through a hole in the rim; mounting a tire on the rim such that the tire encloses the tubular tire locking element and a pressure chamber is obtained between the tire locking element and the tire; pressurizing the tubular tire locking element via the valve such that it expands, whereby the beads of the tire are pressed against the flanges of the wheel rim; inserting a hollow needle through the tire and into the pressure chamber, which hollow needle is connected to a pressurized air source; pressurizing the pressure chamber to desired pressure, removing the hollow needle; and sealing the hole caused by the needle with sealing fluid or plug.

  • Patent number: 6708386
Abstract: A substrate, preferably constructed of a ductile material and a tool having the desired shape of the resulting device for contacting contact pads on a test device is brought into contact with the substrate. The tool is preferably constructed of a material that is harder than the substrate so that a depression can be readily made therein. A dielectric (insulative) layer, that is preferably patterned, is supported by the substrate. A conductive material is located within the depressions and then preferably lapped to remove excess from the top surface of the dielectric layer and to provide a flat overall surface. A trace is patterned on the dielectric layer and the conductive material. A polyimide layer is then preferably patterned over the entire surface. The substrate is then removed by any suitable process.

  • Patent number: 4753050
Abstract: A blasting wheel apparatus for treating the interior surface of a hollow workpiece. There is a superstructure which can be moved into position in vertical registry with the open top of the workpiece. The superstructure has hoppers for storing shot pellets to be used in treating the interior surface and a shot feed tube extends downwardly from the hopper so that its open end may be passed through the open top of the cavity and into the interior of the workpiece. A stabilizer structure is movable along the axis of the shot feed tube to engage the top of the workpiece and position the open end of the shot tube within the central area of the cavity in the workpiece. Slides project upwardly from the stabilizer into the support structure. In one embodiment the shot tube has a lifting element at its lower end to engage under the stabilizer so that the stabilizer may be lifted with the superstructure.
