  • Patent number: 8567062
Abstract: A method of assembling an electromagnetic gas valve having a first body, a second body, a unit comprising a valve disc and stem assembly coupled to a moveable insulating structure having a projecting member, an electromagnet assembly comprising a magnet fixed within the second body and a coil wound on a moving part with a cavity adapted to receive the projecting member, the first body having a gas inlet, a gas outlet and a through hole disposed between the gas inlet and outlet. In one implementation the insulating structure is coupled to the electromagnetic assembly by introducing a fluid under pressure into the gas outlet or gas inlet to act upon the unit to cause the projecting member to move in a direction towards the inside of the second body and into the cavity of the moving part of the electromagnet assembly.

  • Patent number: 8413329
Abstract: The present invention minimizes the assembly time of a dispenser head by inserting a rigid seal retaining element. The seal retaining element comes in different configurations thus allowing a variety of compressed gas cartridge dispensing options. Additional features are integrated into a molded dispenser head thus requiring fewer components to accomplish a useable dispenser thus reducing manufacturing costs. Reliance on conformable plastic allows for relaxed dimensional tolerances. This method of making a dispenser head can equally apply to threaded or non-threaded lance housings.

  • Patent number: 8402656
Abstract: A method of producing a diaphragm damper 1 having a high pressure chamber 3 comprised of two diaphragms 2 with flanges 6 welded together and charged inside with a high pressure gas. The diaphragms 2 are made of magnetically attractable thin metal sheets. A pair of jigs 30, 40 provided to face each other inside the pressure vessel 20 hold the diaphragms 2 by magnetic force. The pressure vessel 20 is sealed and evacuated, then the pressure vessel 20 is charged and pressurized by a mixed gas including helium. After this, the pair of jigs 30, 40 are made to approach each other to make the flanges 6 of the pair of diaphragms 2 come into close contact. Inside the pressure vessel 20, the jigs 30, 40 are simultaneously rotated to rotate the pair of diaphragms 2 and a laser beam is fired at the flanges 6 of the diaphragms 2 to weld the flanges 6 over their entire circumferences.

  • Patent number: 7469472
Abstract: A coupler device for fluid transport that includes a body with an outer sidewall. The body defines a slot disposed proximate one end, and extends in a direction transverse to and through the outer sidewall. A latch assembly is connected with the body. The latch assembly includes at least one outer member being disposed on the outer surface of the body, and is externally exposed of the body. The inner member is connected with an inner member being disposed through the slot. A soft overmold portion is formed over the outer sidewall of the body. The overmold portion includes a shroud portion that extends outward from the outer sidewall, and partially covers the outer member of the latch assembly.

  • Publication number: 20050274014
Abstract: A manufacturing process to make a valve ball includes the following steps: a) prepare a plurality of flat circular metallic plates; b) put the plate one by one into a pair of first molds and is punched into a top hat shaped piece; c) put the top hat shaped pieces individually into a pair of second molds and is punched an opening in the top of the crown and a rectangular indentation in a circumference of the brim; d) put the punched top hat again into a pair of third molds and where is punched into a hemi-spherical shaped piece; e) combine pair by pair of the hemi-spherical shaped pieces together with their rectangular indentations facing each other to form a rectangular retaining through hole, then connected by welding means. So that a qualified valve ball is therefore finished after the conducting of trimming, smoothing and polishing steps.

  • Patent number: 6971172
Abstract: A method for adjusting piezoelectric valve components to create a precise interface between a piezoelectric actuator and a movable valve plunger is provided which includes the steps of conducting a coarse adjustment prior to assembly followed by a fine adjustment after assembly. The method includes measuring a first difference between a valve body and a valve plunger, and compensating for this first measured difference such that surfaces of the valve body and the valve plunger are in a common plane. A second common plane is established between an end surface of an actuator housing and an end of an actuator rod. The step of compensating for the first measured difference can comprise machining the surfaces in the first common plane or using a shim. A second adjustment is conducted by rotating a nut disposed axially with the actuator rod to adjust the axial position of the valve plunger.

  • Patent number: 6588102
Abstract: An engine fuel injector body is assembled using a furnace brazing method to provide structural and hermetic internal joints at interior locations with minimum size and processing. The method of assembling an injector with such an internal hermetic and structural joint may include the steps of providing an annular body member with an annular inner recess having an inner cylindrical surface, forming an annular end recess adjoining the cylindrical surface, fitting a tubular member into the inner recess of the body member with an outer surface of the tubular member engaging the cylindrical surface of the inner recess, placing a brazing ring in the end recess of the body member adjacent the tubular member, and furnace brazing the members together to form the internal hermetic and structural joint. Additional joints may be joined during the same brazing step.

  • Publication number: 20030106216
Abstract: A ball valve is produced, which has a valve housing 10 and a ball 20. A pair of mirror-symmetrical housing halves 12, 14 are jointed together along a single weld line. The housing halves are jointed together by welding in a manner to enclose the ball previously provided with a through bore and a pair of recessed portions. The through bore 22 of the ball is arranged to be in conformity with the weld line. Holes 42, 50 for respectively mounting a pair of stem assemblies are formed by machining respectively in those portions of the valve housing opposed respectively to open opposite ends of the through bore. The centers of the holes are in alignment with the operational centerline of the ball valve. The ball is turned by an angle of 90 degrees, thereby bringing the through bore of the ball into alignment with openings 12A, 14A of the valve housing, and the recessed portions 26, 28 of the ball are brought into alignment with the holes, respectively.
