Abstract: The present invention is a method and apparatus for forming wire loops using wire looping pliers. In one embodiment of the invention, the pair of wire pliers having a cylindrical jaw and a recessed jaw for accepting the cylindrical jaw allows the user of the tool to make symmetrical wire loops on a consistent basis. Additionally, the width of the recessed jaw can be set such that the user can use the recessed jaw to measure the distance from a particular point where the neck of the wire loop should be broken. The recessed surface of the recessed jaw and the cylindrical jaw mate together in such a manner as to provide uniform pressure around a significant portion of the loop so as to prevent marring of the surface of the wire.

The disclosed methods use a combination of gemstone deposition processes and patterning processes to create single crystal gemstones with embedded color variations that can create externally visible two-dimensional or three-dimensional images in a seamless single crystal matrix without visible internal lines/interfacial boundaries. The image embedded image is differently colored from the surrounding diamond matrix. The color variation is accomplished by a change in the diamond growth conditions or treatment of the diamond.

Abstract: A process for making a finished or semi-finished article of silver alloy, said process comprising the steps of providing a silver alloy containing silver in an amount of at least 77 wt %, copper and an amount of germanium that is preferably at least 0.5 wt % and is effective to reduce tarnishing and/or firestain, making or processing the finished or semi-finished article of the alloy by heating at least to an annealing temperature, gradually cooling the article; and reheating the article to effect precipitation hardening thereof. A setting is positioned on the back side of the material with prongs extending through holes in the material, with the prongs being bent into engagement with the stone to retain the stone in the material, without the use of adhesives or thread.

Abstract: Devices and related methods to remove stud-type earrings. The removal devices include tips that easily interface with the earring post and backer to facilitate removal. The tips are coupled to a structure with a spring characteristic. Simple squeezing of the structure actuates the tips to separate the backer from the post. Abstract: A method for making customizable liquid-filled glass jewelry wherein a hollow glass vessel is blown or otherwise manufactured and then partially filled with small diamonds, gems, stones, pieces of metal, etc. Thereafter, the hollow glass vessel is completely filled with a semi-viscous liquid having a specific index of refraction. Once filled with liquid, a sealing cap is attached to the glass vessel, the cap typically being decorative. With a properly selected index of refraction, the vessel appears to be solid glass with the small diamonds, etc. being suspended therein. Colorized diamonds produced by irradiation produce particularly attractive results. A process for creating custom molds for blowing custom glass vessels is described. Molds are created using instructions derived from images generated by 3-D solid rendering software to direct a numerically controlled milling machine or other such machine tool.

Abstract: This invention is a flexible hair cuff made from jewelry wire. This cuff is geared to style dreadlocks, and natural African American hair. The flexible cuff is constructed as one unit. There are several pieces of evenly cut wire in each cuff. After the cuff is styled two jewelry end caps are used to complete the cuff. The flexible cuff comes in a variety of colors. The flexibility of the cuff allows control of how tight or loose depending on the thickness of the hair. The flexible cuff is easy to use, hair is held up by hand and the cuff is then placed around the style and squeezed together to desired tightness. The purpose of this invention was to create something that would hold and style dreadlocks etc. This invention provides an inexpensive attractive unisex hair accessory that does not require any specialized machinery.

This produces, in several embodiments, a component that will be joined with one or more other similar components to form the bead or ornamental object of desire. In other embodiments, the reformed bottle cap or piece punched out of the bottle cap or tin is the desired ornamental object itself.

Abstract: A custom cuff link structure and a method for making the same that allows for the use of the cuff link with both shirts that have cuffs specifically designed to receive cuff links and shirts that are designed with simple button and buttonhole cuffs. The structure and method use ordinary buttons or other toggles and clothing accessories that are modified to incorporate looped strands of a clear polymer fiber to allow the retention of the button like component on the cuff of the shirt. A first embodiment allows the manufacture of customized cuff links utilizing polymer based fibers or button like objects selected by the maker. A second embodiment anticipates factory made cuff links that incorporate the same basic design. Use of the cuff links may be in conjunction with shirt cuffs not specifically intended for use with cuff links, whereby a hidden button may be connected with the looped polymer fiber.
