Abstract: A horizontal hobbing machine comprises a bed, a cutting section provided on the bed and including at least a horizontal rotary shaft and a hob. The cutting section generates a tooth form on a work piece supported around the rotary shaft by means of the hob. A conveyor is provided in a lower part of the cutting section below the bed to remove chips of the work piece resulting from the cutting process.

Abstract: A CNC (computer numerical control) lathe includes a tailstock feed mechanism consisting of a feed hopper and an air cylinder for feeding a short workpiece, and a secondary tool turret having a feed chuck and a set of rear end cutting tools for processing the end of a bar stock material which has been processed by a main tool turret and a radial processing mechanism for processing a short workpiece delivered through the tailstock feed mechanism.

Abstract: A method of reparing a worn flight bar is accomplished by first removing by torch cutting the worn ends of the flight bar. Replacement endpieces having an outer surface profile matching that of a new flight bar and an inner face configured to match the cut face of the flight bar ends are secured thereto by welding. Each profiled replacement endpiece is preferably formed by drop forging and contains welding chamfers and seating lands formed around the inner face thereof to insure strong weld joints and reproducible dimensional accuracy.

Abstract: A device wherein pharmaceutical capsules, each consisting of a separable bottom for receiving the said pharmaceutical product and a separable top for closing the said bottom, are fed in bulk into an input feedbox and sent, through a number of withdrawal and positioning ducts, to a rotary conveying device having two parts, one over the other, the first having a number of upper recesses for the tops and the second having a number of lower recesses for the respective bottoms, the rotary conveying device cooperating with a suction opening device designed to hold the tops inside the upper recesses and to suck the bottoms into the lower recesses, so as to separate the latter from the respective tops.
