The generator is configured to convert mechanical energy of the output motion into corresponding electrical energy delivered to one of an electrical load and an electrical storage reservoir.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 25, 2012Publication date: November 28, 2013Applicant: KCF TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Inventors: Jacob J. Publication number: 20130307272Abstract: A hydro electric generating device that is mobile. The hydro electric generating device may include a water tank with a turbine generator suspended within it. Water may be pumped from the bottom of the water tank and to the top of the water tank. The rotating water supply may be directed onto rotor blades of the turbine generator and thereby generate electricity.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 7, 2013Publication date: November 21, 2013Inventor: Maurice Leon Smith

Publication number: 20130300132Abstract: Electrical power generation from vehicle movement where there is limited or no access to a power grid. A turbine disposed alongside, above, or under the road, harnesses the wind currents generated by a vehicle to drive an electrical power generator connected to a local electrical power system providing electrical power for roadside devices on the road ahead. Alternatively, pedals may be disposed on the road such that when a vehicle runs over them, the vertical motion of the pedals is translated into a rotational motion to drive an electrical power generator. The local electrical power system is used to supply power for roadside LEDs placed along the road ahead of the vehicle to illuminate the boundaries and perimeter, or for a roadside sign, camera, or deer whistle. The activation of the roadside devices is controlled based on whether it is day or night and the remaining charge of a battery.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 11, 2012Publication date: November 14, 2013Inventor: Bader Abdullah ALMALKI

Publication number: 20130300119Abstract: A waste bin including an upper opening for the depositing of waste into an internal compartment for containment is provided. The opening is delimited by at least one respective closing door leaf. The bin includes at least one control unit for commanding respective sensors and operative assemblies, at least one battery for powering the control unit and the circuits controlled by it, and at least one converter for converting mechanical energy into electrical energy which has output terminals connected to the battery for its recharging. The movement of at least a portion of the bin, for use, emptying and maintenance, causes the activation of the converter and the recharging of the at least one battery.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 23, 2010Publication date: November 14, 2013Applicant: HERA S.P.A.Inventors: Claudio Anzalone, Daniele Giunchi, Paolo Paoli

Publication number: 20130277974Abstract: The Brushless Multiphase Self-Commutation Controller or BMSCC is an adjustable speed drive for reliable, contact-less and stable self-commutation control of electric apparatus, including electric motors and generators. BMSCC transforms multiphase electrical excitation from one frequency to variable frequency that is automatically synchronized to the movement of the electric apparatus without traditional estimation methods of commutation and frequency synthesis using derivatives of electronic, electro-mechanical, and field-oriented-control. Instead, BMSCC comprises an analog electromagnetic computer with synchronous modulation techniques to first establish magnetic energy and then dynamically share packets of magnetic energy between phase windings of a multiphase, position dependent flux, high frequency transformer by direct AC-to-AC conversion without an intermediate DC conversion stage.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 22, 2012Publication date: October 24, 2013Inventor: Frederick William Klatt

Patent number: 8513828Abstract: A system for harnessing wind energy to charge the electric storage battery of an all-electric motor vehicle, whether the vehicle is parked or in motion. While the vehicle is being driven, a roof-mounted, internal wind turbine harnesses wind energy and causes rotation of the shaft of an electric generator mounted to an interior surface of the roof. For charging the battery while the vehicle is parked, an external wind turbine is storable in the vehicle when not in use and attaches to the internal wind turbine. Cups of the kind used in cup anemometers are attached to radial arms that extend from an external shaft of the external wind turbine and catch ambient wind currents while the vehicle is parked, causing the external shaft and the generator shaft to rotate.Type: GrantFiled: May 14, 2012Date of Patent: August 20, 2013Inventor: Peter W. Publication number: 20130154265Abstract: The invention provides a temperature measuring device with manual power supply which is substantially composed of a casing, a rolling unit, an energy converting unit, an energy storing unit, a temperature measuring unit and a display unit. After rolling or rotating the rolling unit on a plane surface, kinetic energy of the rolling unit is generated and converted to electric power through the energy converting unit and then stored in the energy storing unit. The electric power supplies the needed power to the temperature measuring device and the display unit. Thus, the temperature measuring device with manual power supply of the present invention can be provided with sufficient power at any time.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 15, 2012Publication date: June 20, 2013Applicant: AVITA CORPORATIONInventor: AVITA CORPORATION
