Swinging And Roller Patents (Class 292/12)
  • Patent number: 8876173
Abstract: The substrate storage pod includes an engagement portion in an outer side surface of a lid of the pod, and an insertion slot through which the engagement portion can be accessed from an external space; the insertion slot is formed in a flange portion arranged around the periphery of an opening in the pod and into which the lid can be fitted, and a latch mechanism supported so as to be slidable in a direction parallel to a flange side wall in a pod main body-surface of the flange portion. An engaging portion of the latch mechanism reaches the engagement portion via the insertion slot. The engagement portion is switched between an engaged state and a non-engaged state in response to movement of the latch mechanism.

  • Patent number: 8585102
Abstract: A compression latch comprises a latch housing with a driving end and a driven end and with a drive shaft which is rotatably supported between these ends and which has a driving device such as a socket wrench receptacle or gearing at the driving end of the latch housing. The latch housing, at the driven end, forms an annular surface around the axis of the drive shaft. According to the invention, the drive shaft has, at the driven end of the latch housing, a bearing journal whose axis has an angle of approximately 45 degrees relative to the axis of the drive shaft, and the base of a rotary latch is supported on the bearing journal, this base (30) forming an annular surface around the axis of the bearing journal, and two annular surfaces roll on one another by frictional engagement or positive engagement when the drive shaft is rotated.

  • Patent number: 8333411
Abstract: This invention relates to an electrically controlled lock assembly (1) including a housing (10) and a retainer (6) mounted on the housing for movement relative thereto between an open and closed position. The lock assembly also includes locking means (12) including a detent (21) that when retained in an active position stops the retainer from moving relative to the housing. The lock assembly also includes an electrical actuator (14) being operable to cause the (10) retaining means to adopt a locked or released condition.

  • Patent number: 6123370
Abstract: Disclosed is an increased strength dogging mechanism operable by a handle for releasably securing a door on each side of the door to a structure. The dogging mechanism includes a plurality of dog keepers each having a ramp portion and a seating portion mounted to each side of the door. A dog having a roller is rotatably mounted to engage a cooperatively associated dog keeper. A mounting bolt extends through the structure and through the approximate center of each dog. A drive assembly which is movable by the handle between open and closed positions moves each dog, simultaneously, between unlocked and locked positions. As the dog is rotated to the locked position, the roller of each dog engages the ramp portion of its associated dog keeper and rolls upon the ramp and into the seating portion.
