    Abstract: A bolt lock, especially for control-cabinet doors or similar doors or flaps. The bolt holder is provided with a catch that is disposed at the same angle relative to the bolt as is the locking surface, with the catch being adapted to engage over the locking surface.

    Abstract: A four position gate latch (20) that is used to fasten and lock a gate. The gate latch includes a self fastening gravity gate latch (22) that is fastened to one face of the gate. A gate latch bracket (28) is fastened to the gate on an opposed face, mating with said gate latch. A latch striker bar slideably extends from the bracket such that the striker bar interfaces with the gate latch and links the gate portions together. A locking bolt (60) slideably extends though the bracket, allowing it to interface with the gate latch and provide positive locking capabilities. The gate latch is capable of being placed in a self fastening gravity gate latch conventional position, a locked position with the locking bolt penetrating a padlock hole, an unlatched position that permits the gate to swing inward on the gate latch side without interference, and a free-swinging position that permits the gate to pivot in both directions.

    Abstract: A locking handle for a refrigerator includes a mounting element rigidly secured to a refrigerator door, a hand grip rigidly secured to the mounting element, and a latch attached to the mounting element. The latch has a catch movable between a locked position and an unlocked position and an actuator operably connected to the catch for moving the catch from the locked position to the unlocked position. The latch provides a positive lock which is actuated to an unlocked position with a manipulation separate from pulling the hand grip but has an actuator located near the hand grip so that it can be manipulated by a hand grasping and pulling the hand grip. In a first embodiment, the catch is integrally molded with the mounting portion and is laterally deflectable away from a retainer mounted beside the door. In a second embodiment the catch is a vertically extending spindle which is downwardly movable away from a retainer mounted above the door.

The connectors are removed from the openings in response to the slider member being in a second position and an engagement member on one end of the slider member engaged with a resilient release device attached to the chassis. To fasten two adjacent fence panels together, an operator collapses the expandable nut and inserts it through an eyelet attached to a second fence pole. The operator then expands the nut so as to capture the eyelet and turns the expandable nut so as to draw the two poles together.

    Abstract: A latch housing defines an axial passage accessible at opposite ends thereof. Latch elements are radially displaced about the axis of the axial passage. A solenoid is mounted to an end of the latch housing and a post is inserted axially into the opposite end of the axial passage. The latch elements are biased to constrict around and preclude withdrawal of the post from the axial passage. An armature of the solenoid extends into the axial passage and a disengagement plate is attached to that end of the armature. As the post is inserted into the axial passage, a slot in the post mates with the disengagement plate, and the terminus of the slot contacts the disengagement plate causing the disengagement plate to translate along the axial passage with the post.
