Abstract: The present invention is a preferably rectangular sturdy, yet plastic, compartment or safe, small enough to fit inside a medicine cabinet, but large enough to house pill bottles and other medications. The safe has an openable and lockable front door that preferably comprises the safe's front wall. The safe also has laterally expandable side wings that also can be reduced inwardly to the width of the safe or expand beyond this size to contact and grip the interior sidewalls of the medicine cabinet. The wings are able to be locked in the chosen position. They are also preferably shaped to secure themselves and the safe inside a medicine cabinet. The safe door and the wings are lockable by a number of mechanisms, most preferably via a wireless signal transmitted from a device controlled by a local wireless network or internet enabled device. The wings and the front door are meant to lock and unlock together for security.

Abstract: A safety container is described which can simultaneously store and secure containers of liquid and solid medications without any mingling of the two types of medications occurring. The safety container can also store and secure medical equipment and supplies used in the administration of medications, as well as other items. The lid of the safety container is secured to the receptacle of the safety container by a slidable elongated bolt which engages a flange located on the receptacle. The slidable elongated bolt can be held in place by a lock. Multiple units of the safety container can be joined together through a tongue-and-groove configuration located on opposing walls of the receptacles. In another embodiment, a safety container is described which allows the lid to move horizontally with respect to the receptacle. The lid is prevented from being raised upwardly be at least one flange which abuts at least aperture located on one sidewall of the lid.

Abstract: A system to be utilized on a horizontal surface for providing visual privacy is disclosed. A plurality of base units each having a retractable panel are positioned at desired locations on the surface to define a plurality of intervals. Selected retractable panels can be drawn across selected intervals to form a desired grid system. The base units can be utilized in conjunction with an existing open plan furniture arrangement to provide additional visual privacy or workstations. In specific embodiments of the invention, the location at which the retractable panel is secured to a vertical panel is vertically adjustable, a uniform attachment between differing thicknesses of the flexible material of a retractable panel is maintained and the tension of spring loaded roller upon which the material is coiled is adjustable. The housing containing a retractable panel as well as the corresponding jamb member can be magnetically attached to vertical surfaces defined in an open plan furniture arrangement.
