Combined Motion Patents (Class 292/20)
  • Patent number: 10683680
Abstract: A door or window arrangement has a panel movable relative to an opening bounded by a frame so as to close against a strike jamb or move away from it. A locking element moves between a locked state in which it engages between the panel and the strike jamb to prevent separation of the panel from the strike jamb and a released state in which the panel can be separated from the strike jamb. A linkage is displaced by a terminal part of a closing motion of the panel so that completion of the closing motion can only occur when the locking element assumes its locked state. Preferably, the linkage is deployed so that force applied to displace the panel through the terminal part of the closing motion results in a force applied to the locking element to displace it towards its locked state.

  • Patent number: 10378243
Abstract: A lock capable of locking a movable door includes a lock shell having opening parts, and hook tongues extending out of the opening parts. The lock further includes lock tongue support frames, lock tongue reset springs, left and right first guide grooves, and shifting blocks. The lock tongue support frames are movably disposed on the lock shell and combined with shaft pins. The hook tongues have lower shaft holes and rotatably sleeve the shaft pins via the lower shaft holes. Each lock tongue reset springs has one free end combined with the lock tongue support frames, and another one free end combined with the hook tongues. The left and right first guide grooves are symmetrically-arranged and correspond to the shaft pins. Two ends of the shaft pins respectively extending into the left and right first guide grooves. The shaft pins drive the hook tongues to move to be unhooked or locked when the lock tongue support frames move to drive the shaft pins to move along the left and right first guide grooves.

  • Patent number: 8474883
Abstract: A latching system for and a method of latching a first member to a second member are provided. The latching system includes a latching mechanism including a displaceable feature which, when operatively displaced, allows a striker to engage with a housing of the latching mechanism, at a recess defined by the housing, to provide supplementary or auxiliary latching force. The displaceable feature may be displaced by an actuating load transmitted between the striker and the latching mechanism, where the actuating load is substantially greater than the nominal load experienced by the latching system during ordinary latching conditions. The engagement of the striker with the housing at the recess may transfer a portion of the actuating load to the housing during the event generating the actuating load, thereby increasing the latching strength of the latching system and reducing the potential for deformation or distortion of the latching element during the event.

  • Publication number: 20100148522
Abstract: A door lock with a bolt, wherein the bolt pieces of the dual-action bolt are prevented from turning away from each other as the bolt pieces have two projections (24, 26) arranged to cooperate with the inner surface (30) of the front plate. In relation to the support of the bolt piece on the shaft (29), one of the projections (26) is arranged on the opposite side in the axial direction compared to the other away-facing projection.

  • Patent number: 5657893
Abstract: A container includes a receptacle portion and a lid, butt ends thereof being hingeably connected one to the other; one or more resiliently mounted teeth are formed which extend upwardly from a forward end of the receptacle portion, and which include a body portion with a recess extending therethrough; a plurality of laterally spaced apart protrusions are provided and extend inwardly from a forward end of the lid, such that on the lid being hinged over the receptacle portion, the protrusions contact and move over the resiliently mounted teeth, so as to releasably engage within the recesses and so as to releasably lock the receptacle portion and lid together.
