Abstract: An apparatus for disposing of trash, including garbage and recyclables, through a pair of adjacent trash removal windows separated by a spacer into separate outdoor trash containers without having to leave a building. Each of the pair of trash removal windows are independently raised respective one of the trash containers simultaneously with the lid of a trash container so a user can dispose of trash through the opened window into the trash container. When the window is closed the lid of the trash container is closed at the same time.

Abstract: A door stay for attachment to a door above a floor, the door stay comprising a mounting means, and a floor-contacting element rotatably mounted on said mounting means, the floor-contacting element being biased against said floor by the mounting means. Preferably, the floor-contacting element is a ball and the ball moves over the floor under tension. The door stay provides significant advantages in the positioning of a door so that it will not swing to and fro, but which can still nevertheless be swung open when desired by manual operation of the door. The door stay is attachable to the lower edge of the door, wherever required and removed when no longer required, or when it is required somewhere else. All of these features are provided in a relatively simple low cost door stay which is highly effective in practical use.

Abstract: There is an apparatus for securing the cover for cabinet, cupboard or drawer during movement from an earthquake with a housing with a pivoting latch arm, which freely rotates around an axle, from a first upright position to a second prone or locked position; the pivoting latch arm engages a receiving piece in the second prone position. This device also serves a child safety device.

Abstract: A latching arrangement for a top includes a latching device arranged at a forward frame part of the top and a mounting device provided at the windshield frame, whereby a pivot arm of the latching device movable about an approximately horizontally aligned pivot axis includes a rotatable roller which cooperates during the closing operation of the top with a guide track of the mounting device. In order to achieve with small structural height of the latching arrangement a relatively large lift movement of the top in the vertical direction, two rollers arranged at a distance to one another are provided at the pivot arm which during the actuation of the pivot arm cooperate sequentially with the fixed guide track.

Abstract: A window locking mechanism includes a flanged bracket in which the flange is attached to the window so that the remainder of the bracket protrudes over the window frame. The locking bracket is in a shape to support a disc shaped locking member, loosely supported on a center pin and adapted to wedge between an angled side of the support bracket in the window frame at all times except when the disc is lifted to prevent wedging.
