  • Patent number: 10501984
Abstract: A closure locking design is presented that is more resistant to a displacement/dislodgement force. A closure end strip is fixed to a closure end and received by a closure guide first section. A rotatable tube and hook assembly run vertically within a closure guide second section. When rotated to a locking position a hook member of the tube and hook assembly rotates through a slot cut in the guide and through a cutout in the closure end strip to restrictively engage the closure.

Abstract: A latching mechanism for receiving a boat bow U-bolt includes a frame member with a receiving channel for receipt of the U-bolt. A pair of spring-biased latching members are attached to the frame member and arranged in a normally-closed condition and therein narrow the width of the receiving channel at an entrance location. The latching members are pivotally moveable to an open condition by the action of the U-bolt pushing against the latching members until the U-bolt enters the receiving channel. A release slide is included as part of the latching mechanism to allow the U-bolt to be released. The release slide is spring biased for movement from a load-launch orientation to a stowed orientation. The latching mechanism is designed to attach to a winch stand and includes two separate mounting connections for this purpose.

Abstract: A closure device for a container, which possesses a locking element for mutually locking of two container parts when the container is closed. The locking element has first and second locking instrumentalities, which are arranged on the different container parts. By way of an actuating member, which is able to be switched over between a closed position and an open position a first engagement member may be shifted between a locking position and a released position. The open position of the actuating member corresponding to the locking position may be secured by an obstructing member in order to prevent unauthorized unlocking of the container. An opening mechanism renders possible an overriding of the obstructing action and a switching over of the actuating member into the open position.

Abstract: A vehicle body side structure is provided to prevent deformation of a structural member due to deformation of a door during a side collision. The vehicle body structure reduces the possibility that the structural member contacts an occupant and obtains an excellent impact absorption effect when the door contacts the occupant. The vehicle body structure has a body side portion with the structural member, and a door coupled to the body side portion to open and close relative to the structural member. An energy absorption member is coupled to the door. A door engagement mechanism is coupled between the door and the side structural member. The door engagement mechanism is arranged to hold the door and the structural member together. A collision sensor generates a collision signal when a side collision is detected by the collision sensor. A door release mechanism is connected to the door engagement mechanism to release the door from the structural member in response to the collision signal.

The sliding latches are biased towards respective extended positions at which the latches engage undercuts provided in an exterior surface of the base member. The sliding latches are also biased towards their engagement in the undercuts with a force sufficient to maintain such engagement until a predetermined force is applied to either the base member or the accessory, whereupon the sliding latches move toward a retracted position and the accessory separates from the base member.
