Abstract: A door closer system is provided that includes a motor, a spring, a reduction gear set, and a rack and a pinion mechanism. The spring and pinion may be coupled to the rack, and the pinion may be selectively coupled to the gear set. The motor may be selectively mechanically coupled to the gear set. The pinion may rotate in a first direction via the rack as the spring is compressed in a second direction opposite the first direction as the spring is expanded. The motor is operable to rotate and act upon the pinion through the gear set, thereby rotating the pinion in the second pinion direction and assist the spring in closing the door.

  • Patent number: 9840859
Abstract: A motor vehicle sliding door can be moved by a sliding movement between open and closed positions, wherein, in order to lock the sliding door in the open position, a mechanical door stop in the form of a locking latch which has a receiving region for a catch element of the sliding door is provided, and wherein the locking latch can be released by a motorized actuation device, whereby the catch element is released. In the event of failure of the motorized actuation device of the locking latch, for an intuitive unlocking and locking of the sliding door in the open position thereof may be achieved in that the locking latch has a resiliently loaded overload lever, in that the overload lever forms a lateral portion of the receiving region of the locking latch and in that, when the locking latch is locked, the overload lever can be pivoted outward when a specific pushing force of the sliding door is exceeded.

  • Patent number: 6871382
Abstract: In a door checker for an automobile, including an intermediate recess which is formed in a side face of a check lever and deeper than a ball guide groove and into which a check ball is fitted by a biasing force of a check spring in order to generate a moderation resistance at a position of at least one medium opening degree of a door, the intermediate recess is formed so that a second opening width in a direction intersecting a centerline of the ball guide groove is larger than a first opening width along the centerline of the ball guide groove. Thus, the feeling of moderation upon fitting between the check ball and the recess is improved, and the generation of an abnormal sound during passing of the check ball through the recess by rapidly opening or closing the door is prevented.
