  • Patent number: 11952800
Abstract: Lock devices, systems, and methods including an internal mechanism to permit backdriven operation and lost motion operation. In one form, the lock includes an assembly of parts with locating features that assist in those parts being assembled with other parts of the assembly in a single, relative orientation. Further, lost motion may be utilized to accommodate manual displacement of one or more components that can also be displaceable, in some embodiments, via operation of a motor. The lock can also include an internal power source capable of driving electronics used to determine handedness of a door.

  • Patent number: 8939475
Abstract: A two-way lock mechanism includes a gear, a first sub-gear, a second sub-gear, a third sub-gear, a fourth sub-gear, a first hook, a second hook and an actuator. The actuator moves a first distance along a first direction to simultaneously rotate the gear, so as to respectively rotate the second sub-gear and the third sub-gear relative to racks on the first hook and the second hook, and to separate the first hook and the second hook from corresponding fixing portions. The actuator further moves a second distance along a second direction opposite to the first direction for simultaneously rotating the gear, so as to respectively rotate the first sub-gear and the fourth sub-gear relative to the racks on the first hook and the second hook, and to separate the first hook and the second hook from the corresponding fixing portions.

  • Patent number: 8899638
Abstract: The invention relates to a locking system for a rotatable part, in particular in arrangements in which two parts which can be rotated in relation to each other, for example a die and a punch in a stamping apparatus, have to be aligned exactly in relation to each other. In order to provide a positionally accurate mechanical locking system with a simple design, the invention proposes that a gearwheel (3) having an end-side and/or axially effective toothing system (4) is connected to the rotatable part (2) fixedly in terms of rotation, and that at least one toothing segment (5a-5f) which can move to and fro in the direction of the axis of rotation and/or parallel to the axis of rotation of the gearwheel is arranged over the circumference of the gearwheel, wherein the teeth or gaps between the teeth of the toothing segment and gearwheel can be brought into engagement without play.

  • Patent number: 8690204
Abstract: A closure assembly includes a handle assembly having a grab bar. The grab bar is moveable in a normal direction relative to an exterior panel surface of the closure assembly between a retracted position and an extended position. When in the retracted position, an outboard surface of the grab bar is disposed approximately flush with the exterior panel surface. The closure assembly includes a position sensor configured for sensing the presence of an operator, and signals the handle assembly to move the grab bar into the extended position when the presence of the operator is sensed. When the grab bar is grasped, the handle assembly signals a latch mechanism to move into an un-latched position to allow the closure assembly to open.
