    Abstract: A door strike assembly includes a strike housing and latch release assembly. The door strike assembly is used in conjunction with a lockset which includes a door latch moveable from a latched condition when a door is closed and an unlatched condition where the door may be opened. The lockset includes a deadlatch to prevent unauthorized movement of the door latch when the door is closed. The latch release assembly is received within the strike housing and includes a latch ejector which engages the deadlatch when the door is closed. A motor is coupled to the latch ejector where actuation of the motor rotates the latch ejector to disengage the latch ejector from the deadlatch. Further rotation of the latch ejector causes the latch ejector to engage the door latch to move the door latch to the unlatched condition such that the door may be opened.

    Abstract: A lock is provided for a door of a motor vehicle. The lock includes a closing mechanism designed for coupling with a lock striker along a direction of relative coupling. The closing mechanism includes a supporting body having a housing seat for receiving an engagement portion of the lock striker. An elastically compliant buffer delimits the housing seat at least in the aforesaid direction of relative coupling in order to define a damped arrest of the engagement portion of the lock striker. The buffer is coated on its surface, in an area of interaction with the engagement portion of the lock striker by a rigid protective shield. The shield is fixedly secured to the buffer.

    Abstract: A latch assembly for connecting a hood assembly to a truck includes a striker bolt that is surrounded by a sleeve that is engaged by a rotary latch. The sleeve is of shorter length than the striker bolt so that it can slide along the striker bolt. The rotary latch fixedly engages the sleeve so that any relative motion between the hood and frame translates to movement of the sleeve along the striker bolt rather than between the rotary latch and striker bolt. The sleeve arrangement thus provides wear protection to rotary latch, allows for self alignment of the hood and fender assembly along the striker bolt axis and dynamic movement of the latch during vehicle operation.

    Abstract: A flush bolt mechanism to be mounted into a recess at the vertical edge of an inactive door of a pair of swinging doors. The flush bolt mechanism has a manually-activated trigger, a shaft connected to the trigger by a pin, a spring clip biasing the shaft, and a bolt to be projected into a strike plate which is mounted onto the door frame or the sill. The bolt mechanism is supported and elevated at the upper end by the front base which has a foot and by a cylindrical spacer placed at the round base. This flush bolt mechanism can simply be constructed with extruded aluminum or copper, and can be mounted into a recess at the vertical edge of an inactive door with ease, accuracy, and certainty.

    Abstract: A latch bolt engages a striker to releaseably secure a first door to either a vehicle body or a second door by relative displacement of the latch towards the striker. The latch bolt moves in a first plane to releaseably retain the striker. The assembly includes a first vertical wedge arrangement and a second vertical wedge arrangement that substantially prevent movement between the latch and the striker in a direction parallel to the first plane when in a latched condition. The vertical wedge arrangements include first and second abutment surfaces on the striker arranged engage third and fourth complementary surfaces of the latch. The arrangements are provided laterally either side of a striker bar portion of the striker and laterally either side of the latch bolt.

The latch includes a biasing mechanism which is disengagable under pressure to move the first panel relative to the second panel. The latch may also be selectively disengaged with a lesser force than that required to overcome the biasing mechanism by bypassing the biasing mechanism. When manually disengaged, the latch maintains a biasing load on a bolt of the latch. A trigger of the latch is provided to bypass the biasing mechanism and disengage a roller assembly of the latch from the second panel.
