Blind-slat Holders Patents (Class 292/345)
  • Patent number: 11957942
Abstract: A safety cabinet includes an enclosure and at least one door to selectively seal the enclosure. The safety cabinet can be used to store, for example, flammable liquids, flammable waste, corrosives, pesticides, or combustible waste. The safety cabinet incorporates a thermally-actuated damper that includes a body, a valve plate, and a pivot assembly. The valve plate is disposed within the passage of the body such that the valve plate is movable between an open position and a closed position. The pivot assembly includes a biasing system adapted to bias the valve plate to the closed position and a fusible link interconnected between the body and the biasing system to constrain the valve plate from moving from the open position to the closed position. The fusible link is configured to melt at a predetermined temperature to thereby allow the biasing system to move the valve plate to the closed position.

  • Patent number: 9909362
Abstract: The invention relates to a holder for one or more elongate elements (70, 72), particularly slats for shading systems and daylight control systems, comprising an elastic or resilient compensating unit having two profiles (50, 150) which are located opposite one another and engage in one another and are arranged such as to be movable relative to one another in the longitudinal direction of the elongate elements (70, 72), said two profiles forming a common interior (90). Accommodated in the interior (90) is a spring element (92) which is compressed when the elongate element (70, 72) expands under the effect of temperature and which relaxes when the elongate element (70, 72) contracts in the longitudinal direction of the elongate element (70, 72). The spring element is held in the interior (90) with a clamping fit or friction fit, a compensating movement in the longitudinal direction being possible.

  • Patent number: 9388840
Abstract: A controlled torque fastener for use with a substrate includes a first driver engagement feature and a primary fastener portion connected to the first driver engagement feature. The primary fastener portion includes a threaded fastening portion and a second driver engagement feature connected to the threaded fastening portion. The first driver engagement feature is configured to be engaged by a first driver to enable the first driver to tighten the controlled torque fastener onto the substrate until the first driver engagement feature breaks off from the primary fastener portion. The second driver engagement feature includes a socket configured to receive a second driver and to enable the received second driver to apply a torque to the primary fastener portion.

  • Patent number: 6601881
Abstract: A door release device (10) includes a pivot bar (40) on which a push plate (44) and an actuator (48) are mounted. The actuator (48) is aligned with a door latch handle (20) and the fixed end of pivot bar (40) is pivotable about a pivot pin (42) carried in its associated mounting bracket (28b). The active end of the pivot bar (40) is freed to move within its associated mounting bracket (28a) by removal of the pivot pin (42) associated with bracket (28a). The door release device (10) is used by pushing on push plate (44) or pivot bar (40) to advance actuator (48) against door latch handle (20) to open the door. A method for securing door release device (10) to a door (12) includes securing the mounting brackets (28a, 28b) to door (12) with one end of pivot bar (40) positioned to align actuator (48) with door latch handle (20), and removing the pivot pin (42) from the mounting bracket adjacent to door latch handle (20).

  • Patent number: 5080409
Abstract: A door lock actuating mechanism particularly suited for used with a multi-panel rolling overhead garage door having an automatic opener attached thereto by a connecting bar. The mechanism fits between the connecting bar and the top door panel and a pull cable operating the locking bolt(s) is also connected thereto. There is an attaching member attached to the top panel and a sliding pendulum bar to which the connecting bar and cable are connected. When the door is opened, the pendulum bar slides to an unlocked position where it is latched by the force of gravity thus holding the locking bolt(s) in an unlocked position during door movement. The pendulum bar and locking bolt(s) are only released when the attaching member returns to the vertical position upon door closing.

  • Patent number: 4739593
Abstract: The terrace glasswork, which is particularly simple to adapt to building conditions, contains the following features: (a) It is made up of a vaulted roof, which is supported above on an existing wall and below on the terrace floor; as well as two gable parts. (b) The roof is made up along its length of several identical, glassed in arch components, the side frame parts of which can be joined and sealed to one another. Each of the latter has two movable glass panes (17, 20) guided so as to slide at different levels. (c) The gable parts are each made up of three gable components, namely of a square basic component (4) and two connecting components (5a, 6a) each of which to the arch components, and which connects together two right-angled frame sides of the basic component (4).

  • Patent number: 4226455
Abstract: This invention relates to a locking device for a raisable or liftable venetian blind in which the bottom rail of the venetian blind includes an end piece extending into and guided by the side housing of the blind and in which a flexible lifting member engages the end piece of the bottom rail to raise and lower the same. A spring urged pivoted latch is provided within the lower portion of the housing which automatically engages over the end piece of the bottom rail when it is in the lowered position and the tension in the lifting member is relaxed. Thus the blind is locked in the down position. When tension is applied to the lifting member to lift the blind, the lifting member moves the latch out of locking engagement with the end piece permitting the blind to be raised.

  • Patent number: 4035008
Abstract: An automatic protection device for a roller blind to prevent unauthorized raising of the blind from the outside by means of two-arm toggle joints whose lever ends are linked at one of the adjacent roller blind staves so that upon unauthorized raising the free toggle joint moves against the flange of U-shaped guide channel in combination with a compensating member in the face region of the upper roller blind stave and movable relative thereto exerts on the locking teeth of the free toggle joint through the action of an additional force means such as an elastic compressible material, a pressure by which the locking teeth are brought against the flange of the guide channel. This not only assures positive locking but also acts to compensate for differences in stave spacings and widths of guide channels thereby reducing manufacturing and inventory costs.
