Lubrication Patents (Class 292/DIG58)
  • Patent number: 5288051
Abstract: A latching bolt mechanism for fastening adjacent concrete form panels together to make a larger form work is disclosed. The mechanism includes a base permanently mounted on a form panel and a slidably attachable and detachable latching bolt mechanism having a tapered engagement pin for penetrating aligned apertures in the side rails of adjacent panel forms. The latching bolt further includes a tapered pin sleeve engaging portion that is received in the central bore of a pin sleeve, allowing transverse, shearing forces on the engagement pin to be readily dissipated. The pin sleeve in turn reciprocates within the central bore of a self-lubricating guide sleeve, which is seated within a housing block. A detachable mounting system includes a mounting bracket attached to the form panel and mating flanges on the housing block.

  • Patent number: 5035455
Abstract: A lock device for a case having a body and a lid includes a latch member, a lock member, a lock-releasing mechanism and a damper. The latch member is pivotably mounted upon one of the body and lid components of the case and normally biased in the unlocking direction. The lock member is mounted upon the other one of the body and lid components of the case for releasably receiving and locking the latch member when the body is in the state of being closed by means of the lid and for retaining the locked state of the latch member. The lock-releasing mechanism is provided upon the lock member for unlocking the lock member. The damper is engaged with the latch member for damping the movement of the latch member under the influence of the biasing force in the unlocking direction of the latch member.

  • Patent number: 4840414
Abstract: A dog for latching a watertight door in the bulkhead of a ship, has a lubricant passage with a plug useful for forcing a grease pellet into the passage. The plug extends beyond the end of the spindle for the user to clamp a wrench for removing the plug from the spindle. The dog has two nuts mounted on the end of the spindle. One nut is a conventional nut for fastening the spindle to the bulkhead. The second nut is a cap nut for at least partially enclosing the threaded plug.
