Abstract: A window lock actuator including a link assembly rotatably mounted on the window jamb, the link assembly operably securable to control movement of a cam into and out of engagement with a keeper for locking a sash to a window jamb. A handle is detachably secured to the link assembly for rotation therewith, and has two legs cradling the link assembly when the handle is secured thereto. Two tabs on the link assembly and two recesses on opposite inner surfaces of the legs engage when the handle is secured to the link assembly. An escutcheon has a spring secured on one side, which spring is biased outwardly against one side of a jamb cavity to frictionally secure the escutcheon in the cavity.

Abstract: A device for restricting the opening motion of a door comprises a housing (4) for securing to the door and having an opening (6) facing the floor over which the door moves when it is opened and closed. A pivotally movable cam member (5)(5') is mounted within the housing so that it can pivot between an operating position in which it extends through the opening to engage with the floor and prevent opening movement of the door and a retracted position in which it is spaced from the floor. Levers (18,21) (18',21') are provided for moving the cam member between its operating and retracted positions.

Abstract: Disclosed is a locking mechanism to retain and seal a blast door of an amition compartment against a compartment door frame after an explosion in the compartment. The mechanism has a linkage connected to a panel that is blown off the compartment by the explosion, whereby the panel actuates the mechanism. The linkage turns a cam a controlled amount so that the cam contacts the door in an optimal position for retaining and sealing the door.

Abstract: A window lock assembly is provided for facilitated locking of a pane-carrying frame or sash in a closed position with respect to a window casement. The lock assembly comprises a handle unit in a recessed, substantially flush-mounted position on the casement and including a movable operator handle connected by a concealed rack or the like to at least one locking cam unit mounted on the casement at a remote position relative to the operator handle. The operator handle is accessible for manual movement to displace a locking cam of the cam unit into releasable locking engagement with a keeper mounted on the sash.

Abstract: A locking apparatus for sliding metal casement windows, doors and the like, the apparatus being adapted to be lockably secured within the lower or upper track portion of the window casement so as to prevent the slidable window from being laterally or vertically moved therein, the locking apparatus comprising a body member having a substantially rectangular configuration defined by front and rear walls, and top and bottom wall members, a longitudinal opening being provided between the front wall and the bottom wall, and the opening being arranged to receive the outer track wall of the casement, whereby the outer track wall is clamped between the front wall and a locking cam member which is rotatably mounted between the top and bottom walls of the body member, the cam including an eccentrically positioned shaft adapted to receive a knob for locking and unlocking the apparatus.
