Abstract: A hose handling apparatus for gripping, advancing, and maneuvering a high pressure hose is provided. The hose handling apparatus comprises a support member comprising a first end, a middle section, and a second end, a generally cylindrical handle detachably connected to and substantially perpendicular to the first end of the support member forming a rigid connection with the support member to provide grip to a user's hand, a first generally cylindrical curvilinear gripping element detachably connected to and substantially perpendicular to the middle section of the support member, and a second generally cylindrical curvilinear gripping element detachably connected to and substantially perpendicular to the second end of the support member. The support member is angled at the middle section. The handle and the gripping elements form a parallel configuration which is perpendicular to a planar surface of the support member. The gripping elements grip the hose positioned between them firmly.

  • Patent number: 8011707
Abstract: A manually-operable coupling assembly may include a primary coupling and auxiliary couplings. Both the primary and auxiliary couplings preferably include an elongated strap with a clamp attached to a distal end thereof. Each clamp may include a first and C-shaped region with a cavity and socket formed therein. A second C-shaped region may be pivotally mated to the first C-shaped region and may have a male finger with a ball bearing protruding outwardly from a distal tip thereof. The ball bearing may penetrate into the socket and become interlocked so that the first and second C-shaped regions may remain in a closed position. A spring-actuated stop block is calibrated to withstand varying pulling forces during transport as needed.

  • Patent number: 7980608
Abstract: An apparatus for moving an object has a contact plate, a first member connected to the contact plate and extending radially away therefrom, and a second member connected to the first member and slidable relative thereto along an axis defined therewith. The contact plate is sized and shaped for abuttingly extending against a portion of the object and a ground surface when the members are disposed between the ground surface and the object. The second member is slidable between a retracted configuration and an extended configuration to facilitate sliding and storage of the members underneath the object and for subsequent pulling on the members in a desired direction to cause the contact plate in abutment to cause the object to move in the desired direction.

  • Patent number: 7866718
Abstract: A paperboard lifting device can be mounted to a plate, support form, work surface or other member of a material conveyance system. When a sheet or web of material travels over the paperboard lifting device, it can provide a margin of elevation or lift to the sheet or web. The sheet or web can therefore be elevated above edges, holes, or other obstructions in the pathway that could jam or snag the delivery of the material.
