Each successively adjacent rib member is dimensioned slightly less than its preceding rib member to allow nesting of all the rib members in a common plane so that the framework can lie substantially flat in its retracted position. Sleeve members for receiving the rib members are provided on the underneath side of the awning cover to allow the fabric to deploy and retract over the framework without binding. The framework is mounted to the cart through one of several disclosed arrangements including a transition plate extending between the forward rib member and a top mounting bracket in one arrangement.

    Abstract: An attachment system for pickup bed covers as well as a tonneau cover construction and a collapsible canopy for pickup beds are disclosed. The attachment system includes attachment rails which are affixed to a top of the sidewalls of the pickup bed. A narrow thin resilient fastener strip sewn along an edge of the pickup bed covers is folded inwardly and inserted in the bight to secure the covers to the rail. The front edge of each cover is attached to the pickup bed with a hook and loop fastener, and the rear edge is attached to the tailgate with a rubberized magnetic strip. The tonneau cover incorporates the attachment system. The collapsible canopy is supported by a foldable framework that includes first and second X-shaped frames having two U-shaped ribs pivotably connected by a scissor-type joint.

    Abstract: A baby carraige hood has a support member for mounting the hood on a baby carriage body, and the support member is provided with a shaft member which extends therethrough. The hood also has at least two ribs whose ends are bunched up the shaft member in the manner of the pivot of a fan. A bracket is assembled to the support member so that it is movable axially and turnable circumferentially related to the shaft member. The bracket has one of the ribs fixed thereto and is constantly pressed against the support member by a spring member. The respective opposed surfaces of the bracket and support member are formed at their contacting region with uneven-surfaced portions adapted for removable engagement with each other. The ribs can be unfolded and folded in the manner of a fan, and the unfolded angle thereof can be adjusted to any desired angle. Further, the ribs are turnable relative to the shaft member, so that the hood can be set at any desired rotative angular position.
