Shovel, Board Type Patents (Class 296/58)
  • Patent number: 10112518
Abstract: A skip apparatus for a working vehicle has a skip that is pivotable upward about a carrying axle and that has a pouring edge via which pourable material is able to be poured out of the skip. The skip apparatus additionally has an emptying device which is pivotable relative to the skip about a pivot axle on the skip during a pivoting movement. The emptying device has an inlet side and an outlet side. The inlet side is arranged in a region of the pouring edge such that the pourable material, which is poured out of the skip via the pouring edge, passes into the emptying device via the inlet side. The pivoting movement of the emptying device is guided in a defined manner by a guiding device. A working vehicle having such a skip apparatus also is provided.

  • Patent number: 8882435
Abstract: A tailgate shoveling apparatus includes a containment bed mounted on a vehicle for contained material therein, and a tailgate shoveling platform pivotably attached proximate an end of the containment bed. The tailgate shoveling platform pivots between two positions rotationally offset by substantially more than 90 degrees in relation to each other. The tailgate shoveling platform substantially prevents material from spilling out of the containment bed in a first position. In a second position, the tailgate shoveling platform provides a platform configured to hold a portion of the material contained in the containment bed at an ergonomic shoveling height relative to a user standing on ground level. Once a desired amount of material has been removed from the platform, the tailgate shoveling platform may return unused material back into the containment bed as the tailgate shoveling platform moves back into the first position.

  • Patent number: 4023850
Abstract: A horizontal extension panel is provided for disposition immediately outwardly of the free end of the open tailgate of a pickup truck with the extension panel structure substantially coextensive with the tailgate and the opposing marginal edges of the extension panel structure and tailgate disposed in abutted relation. A pair of support arms extend across the upper surface of the extension panel structure along the opposite side marginal edges thereof and the support arms extend over the opposite side marginal edges of the tailgate and include terminal ends which overlap the opposite side marginal portions of the rear end of the floor of the pickup truck. A pair of rearwardly and downwardly inclined brace arms or members are secured at their rear lower ends to the outer portions of the support arms secured to the extension panel structure and the upper forward ends of the brace arms are secured to the upper rear marginal edge portions of the side walls of the pickup truck.
