Abstract: Implementations of vehicle seating systems may include a movable chair including a metal frame having a seat portion and a back portion. The seat portion may have a first end and a second end and the back portion may have a first bar, a second bar, and a lock bar coupled between the first bar and the second bar. A latch pin may be configured to receive a first end of the lock bar coupled to the first bar of the seat portion when the movable chair is in a fully upright portion. The back portion may be configured to fold down and the seat portion may be configured to rotate upwardly on the seat hinge. The movable chair may be configured to lock into place in a fully upright position when the vehicle is in operation through a latching mechanism, the latch pin, and the lock bar.

Abstract: A vehicle includes a vehicle seat assembly having a seatback member and a lower seat member. The lower seat member has a generally horizontal and upwardly-facing seating surface. The seatback member has a cushion portion and is selectively rotatable between an upright position in which the cushion portion is adjacent the wall and a lowered position in which the cushion portion extends farther forward than the seating surface. The seatback member functions to support the back or head of an occupant (when the seatback member is in the upright position) or as an extension to the lower seat member to provide additional fore/aft support to a child seat.

Abstract: A vehicle includes a frame, a side wall, a door, a seat, and a stopper member. The side wall is coupled with the frame. The door is pivotally coupled with the side wall and is pivotable between a closed position and an opened position. The seat includes a seat back that is pivotable about a pivot axis between a stowed position and a deployed position. The stopper member is coupled with the door and extends outwardly from the door. The stopper member is configured to overlie at least a portion of the seat back when the seat back is in the stowed position with the door in the closed position.

Abstract: A seat assembly is provided for use in a vehicle interior, and includes a frame and lower and upper bracket assemblies. The lower bracket assembly is connected to a lower portion of the frame, and selectively moves the frame in a longitudinal direction with respect to the vehicle interior. The upper bracket assembly is connected to an upper portion of the frame, and has a slot which receives a selector pin for selectively pivoting the upper portion of the frame with respect to the lower portion of the frame. A moveable linkage is connected to the upper bracket assembly and moves the selector pin for adjusting between different passenger seating positions. An adjustment mechanism includes a lever for moving the moveable linkage via a cable. The seat assembly can include a deployable storage bin positioned between the bulkhead and a seat surface.

Abstract: A seat having a back portion and a bottom portion can be inverted to form a storage enclosure, wherein the back portion forms the top of the enclosure and the bottom portion forms a side of the enclosure. Movable end panels may also be provided to secure the ends of the enclosure.

Representative embodiments can carry 6 or 7 or 9 persons in comfortable seats all with adjacent or facing seats for companions; plus substantial varied cargos, which can potentially include sporting or recreational equipment such as bicycles or a powered waterscooter or snowmobile or motorcycle; camping gear including a 9-person tent; furniture such as a Queen bed set; appliances such as a washer and dryer; utility equipment such as a snowblower or riding lawnmower; or substantial quantities of items such as lumber, bark or fertilizer.

Abstract: A vehicle seat having a support structure adapted to rigidly support the seat in multiple use positions and to guide the seat into a storage position for minimizing the volume of vehicle interior occupied by the seat. The vehicle seat and support mechanism are adapted to be stored in a recessed compartment of the vehicle. The support mechanism includes a frame spanning the vehicle interior with cross-vehicle members and engaging a track on the sidewall of the vehicle, eliminating the need for under-seat support connected to the vehicle floor, and providing cross-vehicle bracing to increase rigidity and minimize intrusion into the vehicle interior in the case of a side impact.

Abstract: A rescue vehicle having a compartment for receiving a movable stretcher having two mushroom-shaped pins located at a front end and a rear end respectively of the stretcher. The compartment has a lateral opening for passage of the stretcher, and which is narrower than the length of the stretcher; a click-on lock unit located at one end of the compartment, such end facing the lateral opening, and for locking a first of the two pins; and a guide unit, which is set back with respect to the lateral opening, is coplanar with the lock unit, and on which a second of the two pins slides during insertion.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a small lightweight automotive vehicle having a frame supported on front and rear axles, a stationary front module containing an engine, drive train, controls, etc. and a rear seating module which is pivotally supported by the frame for movement about a generally vertically axis extending above the rear axles to permit easy entry into and exit from the vehicle. The vehicle could either have a single or a pair of pivotal rear seating modules and the basic geometric structural shell for the vehicle is a tetrahedron so that the seating module or modules when pivoted to an open position to permit entry to and exit from the vehicle requires relatively little side clearance.

Abstract: A vehicle seat having an independent armrest positioned adjacent thereto. The vehicle seat and armrest are both pivotally mounted at a forward end and are independently pivotable from a first position wherein the vehicle seat is forwardly facing, and the armrest is positioned parallel to the vehicle center line, to an angled position wherein the vehicle seat is pivoted into a fixed predetermined angular relationship with the vehicle center line and the armrest is positioned parallel thereto. Suitable locking mechanisms are provided to position the armrest and vehicle seat in their respective predetermined positions.
