A dump mechanism may be supported by the mounting bracket and may be moved between an engaged state preventing rotation of the seatback relative to the seat bottom when the recliner mechanism is in the locked state and a disengaged state permitting rotation of the seatback relative to the seat bottom when the recliner mechanism is in the locked state.

The latch handle is rotatable between a first extended position where the latch handle extends outwardly from an outboard lateral side of the seatback, and a second retracted position where the handle is generally flush with the outboard lateral side of the seatback. Movement of the latch handle from one of the first position and the second position to the other one of the first position and second position occurs upon movement of the seatback to one of the upright position and a stowed position to provide more clearance for interior trim of the vehicle.
