Abstract: A headrest design described herein improves rigidity and reduces weight of an entire headrest of a vehicle seat. The headrest of the vehicle seat includes a base member attached to an upper part of a seat back, and a reinforcing member attached to the base member. The base member is formed by coupling a front side base member and a back side base member by a coupling member. The reinforcing member includes attachment portions and projection portions having larger width therebetween than that of the attachment portions. The attachment portions are fixed to a front side of a front side base member. The projection portions continue from the attachment portions and protrude to the upper side of the base member.

Abstract: A seat track assembly includes a seat track operable for sliding movement of a seat assembly. A towel bar pivots a drive lever unlocking the seat track and allowing sliding movement of the seat assembly within a range of comfort positions. A stop lever pivots between a lowered position and a raised position. In the lowered position, the stop lever engages a stop bracket secured to the seat track preventing the seat assembly from moving forward of the range of comfort positions. A cam pivots in response to pivotally moving a seat back to a dump position. Pivoting the cam pivots the drive lever unlocking the seat track and pivots the stop lever to the raised position spaced above the stop bracket to allow sliding movement of the seat assembly to an easy-entry position forward of the range of comfort positions.

Abstract: An adjustable supporting bracket for a motorcycle backrest that may be disposed between a mounting bracket affixed to a motorcycle seat and a mounting bracket affixed to a backrest pad. The adjustable supporting bracket comprises an outer member and an inner member slidingly received within the outer member. The inner member has a hand retractable spring plunger whose tip is disposed to engage longitudinally arrayed recesses in the outer member in order to lockably fix the extension of the inner member. One of the outer member and the inner member is also provided with a tilt wheel disposed within a transverse slot in a lower portion of the member. The tilt wheel is threaded to receive a set screw that extends through the lower portion of the member to bear against the seat mounting bracket. The tilt wheel may be manually rotated to extend and retract the set screw, thereby allowing the user to determine the extent of backward travel of the backrest.

Abstract: A vehicle seat system including a seat-bottom (1.7) and a.seatback (15) wherein the seatback (15) is prevented from rotating by both a recliner mechanism (50) and a latch mechanism (60) connected to the seatback (15). The latch mechanism (60) is configured to be disengaged to permit rotation of the seatback (15), to a forward position to aid ingress into a rearward positioned seat, which in turn releases a pair of tracks to shuttle the seat forward, to provide for easier ingress into a rearward positioned seat. When the latch mechanism (60) is released or unlocked, the recliner mechanism (50) release handle is free to rotate, but the lockout mechanism is prevented from, releasing the recliner mechanism. The seat is configured so that the seatback (15) unfolds and returns to the specific comfort position prior to activation of the latch mechanism release handle (23).
