  • Patent number: 11771269
Abstract: An improved shower chair having washdown surfaces, reconfigurable arrangements, and enhanced safety features. The shower chair includes a backrest that removably attaches to an underside of the shower chair offset from, and arranged below, a seat pan. Removing the backrest exposes an upper support crossbar that runs from one side of the shower chair to the other. The washdown surfaces include a sloped surface arranged in the seat pan that is angled downward from a front of the shower chair toward a rear of the shower chair and a sloped surface arranged in the backrest of the shower chair angled from a rear of the shower chair toward a front of the shower chair under the seat pan. The washdown surfaces provide an unrestricted fluid flow path running from the seat pan to the backrest and then to the floor.

  • Patent number: 11318870
Abstract: A seat back frame for a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a frame body consisting of a thermoplastic fiber reinforced composite material; a reinforcing agent joined to the inside of the frame body; and a cover sheet joined to the outside of the frame body. According to the present invention, the frame is lightweight while maintaining rigidity and strength like a steel frame, and a cover sheet is joined thereto, thereby enabling a board which is further joined to the seat back frame to be omitted, which leads to the achievement of a slimmed and fabric-integrated seat back frame for a vehicle. Also, a cover sheet is joined to a body frame by using a vacuum adsorption scheme, which leads to the achievement of a method for manufacturing a seat back frame for a vehicle having improved joining force and increased merchantability.

  • Patent number: 10159350
Abstract: A chair is provided in which a seat-receiving member is provided with outward flanges for regulating upward/downward displacement to support left and right lateral edges of a seat plate. Engaging grooves supported by the outward flanges are provided at the respective left and right lateral edges of the seat plate. Warpage allowable parts in which warpage deformation of the lateral edges is allowed without the upward displacement being regulated by the seat receiving member are provided in regions of the left and right lateral edges of the seat plate, in which the regions are located at a rear side from engagement parts between the engaging grooves and the outward flanges. With this constitution, it is possible to prevent the seat plate from being detached from the seat-receiving member while ensuring that, when an user is seated, the sides of the buttocks of the user are reliably held, and thus improve the seating stability of a seat body.

  • Patent number: 7775600
Abstract: A seating unit includes a rearwardly-open base frame with a pair of uprights on opposite rear side portions in spaced apart positions. A molded back has corner sections with cavities for matably telescopingly engaging the uprights, and a beam section extending between the corner sections for stabilizing the rear side portions when the molded back is engaging the uprights. A seat fastened to the base frame engages the molded back to retain the molded back on the upright sections. A cushion attached by a line of adhesive is perforated inward of the line, such that a majority of the cushion can be pulled off by tearing along the perforation line, allowing quick separation for recycling. The uprights have reduced an upper diameter for aesthetics but extend upwardly sufficiently to support armrest on the back.

  • Patent number: 7770968
Abstract: A stacking chair having a seat, a back support, and a frame for supporting the seat and back support. The frame includes a pair of spaced apart leg members, a back support member, and a seat support member. The leg members have a front portion and rear portion interconnected by a connecting portion to give the leg members a generally U or V shape. The chair further includes a stacking member disposed on each leg member. The stacking member shaped to receive the upper surface of a leg member of a like chair such that the stacking member rests on the connection portion of a like chair and the upper chair in the stack is positioned forward of the lower chair thereby offsetting the stack's tendency to lean back due to the weight and position of the back support thus providing for the stability of a stack of chairs.
