Abstract: A portable seat may be folded to a transport position by disposing the seat and support member in generally parallel relationship to each other and in a plurality of select positions longitudinally of each other, the entire seat assembly being suitable to transport by hanging from the belt or the like of a wearer. The seat is provided with a removable prong which pierces the ground to support the seat assembly when it is not occupied and also may be removed for the purpose of utilizing the seat on hard surfaces such as those encountered indoors.

Abstract: A "wearable" seat is provided for use in gardening or the like. The seat includes a generally U-shaped frame including side portions and a substantially straight base portion, and a seat member which is adjustably mounted for vertical movement between the side portions of the frame. A back support assembly, including a mounting bar and a back plate, is secured to the upper ends of the frame and a belt secured to the back plate enables the device to be strapped to the waist of the user. The bar and/or the back plate are pivotable to accommodate the device to the body of the user for both standing and sitting positions.

Abstract: A leg-restraining device for a geriatric chair including a transversely disposed leg-restraining member supported in front of and below the front edge of the seat member of a geriatric chair in such a manner that the restraining member will lie closely adjacent to, but in front of, the shins of a patient seated in the geriatric chair, to prevent the patient from sliding forward off the chair.

Abstract: A sportman's seat or the like made up of a generally rectangular cushion with a cover made of sheet material. A resilient strap which forms a belt for the sportsman is attached to D-shaped rings at each end. Each ring has a tab passing through it. The ends of the tab receive the ends of the cushion cover and are attached to it. The ends of the cushion cover are fixed together entirely across the width of the end except that a space between the cover ends is provided directly under the tab so that air can be expelled from within the cover when the sportsman sits on the seat.

Abstract: A collapsible back pack chair adapted to be carried on the back of a user. The chair comprises a frame having a seat pivotally attached to its bottom edge. The seat has an elongated leg mounted on its bottom surface which forms a unit therewith. In use, the frame is attached to the back of the user through utilization of straps or the like. When the frame is so attached to the back of the user, the seat and leg may be pivoted as a unit from a stored position in which the leg is upright, adjacent to the frame, to an open position in which the free end of the leg is brought into contact with the ground, thereby providing support for the seat which will be located beneath the user in a position for sitting thereon.

Abstract: This invention relates to auxiliary seat and back cushion means with safety belt for protective retention of a passenger riding behind the operator of an open vehicle such as a motorcycle wherein the operator rides astride the seat and the passenger, riding behind the operator, is retained upon the vehicle by fastening means encompassing the passenger and the operator; and wherein a back cushion is provided for support of the passenger in upright position.
