Drive Details Patents (Class 299/34.07)
  • Patent number: 8544960
Abstract: A chain guide for a driving chain of a winning plow or the like, the chain guide being provided with a chain guide element which is arranged in spatial proximity to the sprockets at a driving or return station and is against the chain transversely to the direction of movement of the latter, provision is made according to the invention for the chain guide element to have at least one pressure roller which can be adjusted against the chain links of the driving chain, as a result of which the wear on the chain guide element is considerably reduced.

  • Patent number: 8276990
Abstract: The invention relates to a drive station for an underground plough system, in particular a coal plough system, with a machine frame to which a plough box can be fastened, and with a wedge trough which is connected to the machine frame and is provided with a plough guide device, which has chain channels for a plough chain, and also a plough end stop on a runout section for a winning plough. In order to facilitate the repair of a winning plough, the plough end stop is formed on an attachment which can be dismantled, when the plough guide device is mounted, to produce a repair section in the longwall-gallery transition of the wedge trough. The invention also relates to a repair method in which the plough end stop is dismantled and the winning plough is moved into the repair section.

  • Patent number: 7600822
Abstract: A method for mining and a planer installation for the mining of coal, with a coal planer that can be moved by a planer chain that can be driven via a drive chain wheel of a drive station for the planer chain and that is deflected at a deflection chain wheel of a driveless deflection station. The coal planer is moved back and forth reversibly between the drive station and the deflection station by the planer chain to avoid the occurrence of sag and to minimize the necessary size of an auxiliary drift to be opened. The deflection chain wheel is mounted on a slide that can be displaced in the direction of movement of the coal planer by a tension device.

  • Patent number: 7282826
Abstract: A drive system for chain sprockets 1 of chain drives, more particularly for driving chain scraper conveyors or chain-drawn ploughs for underground mining, with a drive assembly formed of an asynchronous motor and a gear mechanism 4, the gear mechanism 4 being designed as overload gearing and having a controllable multiple-disk clutch for overload equalisation with which the force flow between the asynchronous motor and the chain sprocket can be disconnected. The asynchronous motor comprises a frequency converter motor 10 and in the drive assembly between the motor shaft and the gear mechanism 4 a two-gear toothed wheel gear mechanism is arranged as a forward gear mechanism, with a starting gear position and a normal gear position, with which in the starting gear position the breakaway effect required for starting the loaded chain scraper conveyor or for releasing the plough can be attained.

  • Patent number: 7097256
Abstract: A mining machine for underground mining is disclosed, particularly an extraction or coal plough. When in use, the mining machine is guided along a machine guide, said machine guide including a guide rail and a guide pawl. The guide pawl engaging around said guide rail from above wherein a guide piece is disposed between said guide pawl and said guide rail. The guide piece is releasably attached or attachable to said guide pawl and is sliding along said guide rail. According to the invention, said guide pawl has at least one support means whereassaid guide piece in its installation position is supported on said support means. Further, the guide piece with said guide pawl is fixed by means of a locking mechanism in the longitudinal direction of said guide rail.

  • Patent number: 7055913
Abstract: Chain guide arrangement for a mining machine, in particular for an extraction plough. The chain guide arrangement comprises a first chain passage for a load strand and a second chain passage for a return strand of a drive chain of the mining machine. At the end areas of the chain passages there are provided a drive station and a return station for the drive chain. At least at one of the chain passages a chain guide for the load strand and/or for the return strand of the drive chain is provided in a transition area to the drive station/s and/or the return station. According to the invention, the chain guide comprises a retaining pocket being open towards the drive chain and at an end face thereof being bounded by a hinge pin arranged to be transverse to a direction of movement of the chain. The chain guide further comprises a hold-down device comprising a pin seating on at least its one end face which pin seating matches with the hinge pin and is open on one side, and a locking arrangement.
