  • Patent number: 8371049
Abstract: A hydraulically-operated ripper tool mounted as an attachment on a hydraulic arm of a carrier or excavator is used for demolition of large metal walled structures such as storage tanks in a very short time. The ripper tool has a sharp point for punching entry holes into the tank walls, so that no torch cutting of entry holes needs to be used, particularly where there might be volatile residues left in the tank. The ripper tool has a concave, sharp inner edge and is operated by the hydraulic arm in reciprocation so as to provide a shearing force to cut quickly through metal walls in “can-opener” fashion. The ripper tool facilitates making long vertical cuts into the tank wall from top to bottom, so that a series of vertical cuts can be made to weaken a side of the tank and allow the top of the tank structure to be brought down.

  • Patent number: 6484615
Abstract: A slicing machine including a slicing blade for slicing at least first and second product loaves disposed in a side-by-side arrangement using a single rotation of the slicing blade is set forth. A single rotation of the slicing edge about the center of rotation results in a penetration gradient into each of the first and second product loaves that diminishes in magnitude over the single rotation. To this end, the slicing edge may have a profile defined a plurality of constant radius sections. Each constant radius section has a section center defining the center of the constant radius for that constant radius section. Further, each constant radius section has a section center differing from the section center of an adjacent constant radius section. Such a blade and its associated slicing station provide great control of slices from the loaves as they proceed from the loaf to a receiving conveyor of the slicing station.

The rotary disc mounted to the outer ring board is movably limited in place by the fixing ring cap and are rotatably supported by the multiple beads received in a tunnel defined between the outer ring board and the rotary disc. On the rotary disc are disposed a plurality of holes marked with a numeral that is the diameter of a circle to be cut. The cutting tool has a hollow pen stick and a cutting knife attached to a knife clip that is movably engaged with a holding head. The holding head is further secured to the bottom end of the hollow pen stick and is free to rotate with respect to the pen stick so that the cutting knife can be smoothly guided in a cutting operation.

  • Patent number: 5860217
Abstract: A circular material cutter having a disk-shaped base with a rotating top member attached thereto via a spring and shaft assembly. The top member has a handle formed on its top surface and four legs which extend downwardly from the top surface radial edge, and which have cutting wheels rotatably mounted on their bottom ends of the legs. The shaft and spring assembly extends upwardly from the radial center of the base and is held in a spring receiving portion which extends downward from the radial center of the top member. The shaft and spring assembly allows the top member to be rotated above the base, and also biases the top member away from the base when the device is not in use, to keep the cutting wheels in a retracted position. To use the device, one places the device on sheet material to be cut, pushes down on the top member, and twists it 90.degree. using the handle, thereby causing the four cutting wheels to cut a circular piece from a sheet of material.
