  • Patent number: 10625331
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a razor blade by providing a razor blank strip having an edge. The razor blank strip is hardened to a hardness greater than 600HV. A pre-bending zone that is spaced apart from an edge of the razor blank is melted with a laser beam. The pre-bending zone is cooled after melting to form a re-solidification portion. The razor blank strip is segmented into individual blades. The individual blades are bent in the pre-bending zone.

  • Patent number: 9364961
Abstract: Razor blade unit for shaving a skin comprising a stretcher, a rear support and at least one blade (11) allocated in between the stretcher (9) and the rear support (10). The blade (11) is movable with respect to an exposure plane (14) from a rest position to a working position. The exposure plane (14) is defined as a tangential plane from the stretch surface to the support surface. An adjusting mechanism (15) is provided to adjust the movable blade from the rest position to the working position during a sliding movement of the razor blade unit over the skin in the shaving direction.

  • Patent number: 7311804
Abstract: Doctor blades are provided for multiple positions within a paper or board making machine. A single doctor blade of a standard length or a reel of doctor blade material has markings which permit a variety of doctor blade sizes to be readily cut. If a standard length doctor blade is used, the length of the blade is chosen to be at least as long as the longest doctor blade required for a particular papermaking machine. If the material is in a reel, the markings may be at regular numbered intervals. If a pattern of rivets is connected to the blade, and the rivets must have a given relationship with a blade holder, blade length may be marked out in such a way that some blade material is discarded in order to position the rivets when shorter blades are cut from the blade reel.

  • Patent number: 6415514
Abstract: An artistic knife with replaceable blade magazine, including a handle formed with a receptacle on one side in which a blade magazine is inserted. The magazine is formed with an internal reservoir in which several overlapped blades are placed. A pushing member is slidable within the reservoir. The pushing member is formed with a stop wall for abutting against the rear end of the blade. An upper edge of front end of the blade magazine is an opening through which the uppermost blade in the reservoir and the pushing member are pushed out. A blade seat is back and forth movably disposed on inner face of the handle. One side of the blade seat is formed with a blade cavity. A latch hook is disposed on upper side of the blade cavity. The top edge of the blade is formed with at least one notch for the hook section of the latch hook to hook in. The blade seat is controlled by a pushing member to move forward or backward to make a blade extend out of the handle for use.
