Abstract: A pencil sharpener (1) with a handle (3) and a sharpener insert (4) inserted into the handle (3) with a pencil guide channel (33) and a paring blade (34) is proposed, in conjunction with which the handle (3) is formed so as to correspond at least partially to the inner contours of a curved human hand (26). Improved ease of handling is achieved through the formed handle (3). Also proposed is a method for the manufacture of a pencil sharpener (1) of this kind, in which the handle (3) is formed in subsidiary areas so as to correspond to the inner contours of the human hand (26).

Abstract: A pencil sharpener has at least two sharpener units, each with a sharpener body and a shaving blade. The sharpener bodies of adjacent sharpener units being connected integrally via film strips acting as a predetermined bending point and/or predetermined separating point. In a second variant, the pencil sharpener has a sharpener body and a shaving blade fastened thereon. The sharpener body has a guide sleeve with a bore defining a pencil-guiding channel for a pencil to be sharpened, and at least one flat supporting wing which projects approximately radially in cross section from the guide sleeve. In an end region of the supporting wing a functional element is provided for protecting or for working on the tip of the pencil.

Abstract: An electric pencil sharpener includes a power source, such as a plurality of batteries, disposed within a base portion. The electrical pencil sharpener further includes a housing portion connected to the base portion and a motor disposed within the housing portion, operatively coupled to the power source. The pencil sharpener includes a head portion with a plurality of mounting elements for operatively connecting the head portion to the housing portion. Furthermore, each head portion includes a blade assembly disposed therein, wherein the blade assembly is operatively connected to the motor and the selective activation of the motor rotates the blade assembly relative to the head portion, therein sharpening a pencil. Moreover, the head portion with the plurality of mounting elements is removable from the housing portion for the disposal of pencil shavings or the insertion of other head portions for the sharpening of pencils having different dimensions.

Abstract: A candle holder 1 comprises an annular collar 2 and a bottom disc 3 interconnected by ribs 4 having sharp edges 5 for trimming a candle end inserted in the cavity defined by the ribs 4, the collar 1 and disc 3 while rotating the holder relative to the candle such that the sharpened edges 5 trim the candle end until said end is entirely received in the cavity, resilient arms 11 being provided for ensuring that the holder with candle inserted may be stably secured in the socket of a candlestick.

Abstract: A Wood Pencil Sharpener and Pocket Holder which allows a pencil to be stored in a shirt pocket such that the pencil and pencil point are contained within a tube and covered sharpener, thus eliminating lead pencil marks on the shirt and inside the shirt pocket. In addition, this device can sharpen the pencil while containing the loose shavings within a detachable cover.
