Abstract: A manual skiver for conveyor belts and the like includes a base with a flat bearing surface for engaging an associated belt face, and a blade receiving opening through the bearing surface. A handle is connected with the base to facilitate drawing the skiver across the belt face. A thin cutting blade is mounted in the base at a predetermined angle, and includes a U-shaped cutting edge defined by a flat central area and upstanding side areas at opposite sides of the central area. The U-shaped cutting edge extends through the blade opening, and is positioned a predetermined distance below the bearing surface to cut a groove in the belt face having a uniform depth.

Abstract: A crown planing tool 10 has a body 11 formed with a pair of mutually spaced, juxtaposed runners 12 having coplanar bottom surfaces 13 and a hand grip 16 that bridges the two runners to form a channel 17 through the body. A disk-shaped blade 29 is adjustably mounted to the body within the channel.
Abstract: The present fiberglass panel cutter includes a blade extractor tab for slightly displacing or deflecting scrap pieces of ductboard from their corresponding grooves, a blade height adjuster for controlling the depth of the groove, a blade with aligned apertures for ready removal from a blade mount, a canted handle, and a set of linear channels formed in a lower surface of the cutter for guiding the cutter in a straight line across the ductboard. The present invention further includes a knife with a blade set at a downward angle relative its handle to efficiently make cuts at an arm's length in ductboard which may measure four feet by eight feet. The present invention further includes a square that is infinitely adjustable and convertible between right and left handed orientations.
Abstract: A blind nailer plane having an improved iron or chisel with a cutting edge which is straight through its central portion and curves upward on either end in order to produce a shaving which is cleanly cut from a workpiece and may therefore be glued in place leaving few surface imperfections.
