Abstract: A double-ended manual razor is disclosed, with razor on either side of a handle. Each razor is offset from the handle at an opposite angle, with respect to a midpoint between the two razors, that midpoint also being a highest point of the handle, rising from each razor to a pinnacle in a curvilinear manner. One uses the razor by placing at least one finger on either side of the pinnacle and another under the pinnacle, such as in a concave finger region or circle, and pivots around the middle point, pushing either the one or the other razor downwards onto a surface to be shaved. Then, one switches direction and shaves in the other direction with the other razor, always or sometimes placing more pressure on the side of the device with the razor currently in use to shave or cut.

  • Patent number: 9308657
Abstract: The invention provides a razor cartridge with multiple blades and peg(s) or pegged support members that aid in the control of the blades by restricting fore and aft blade movement, which in turn, reduces the amplitude of blade deflection and/or vibration during shaving. This reduction provided by the pegs improves shaving performance. Blades rest between pegs which are rounded or shaped such that the blade bottom portion contacts the peg at one point, forming a single line of contact. The pegs may be in a slalom-like, linear (with one or more peg columns), or offset arrangement. Pegs or pegged support members may be at any location of the razor blade assembly; for instance, at the center and/or at blade slot ends. Pegs may each be of different shapes and may or may not be equidistant or at the same heights as each other, depending on blade spans and exposures.

A span ?s of less than 1.0 mm is provided between the cutting edges of at least one adjacent pair of trailing and leading blades and an inter-blade gap ?g is provided between said pair of adjacent leading and trailing blades, measured at the shortest distance between the adjacent leading and trailing blades, wherein the gap ?g is less than or equal to the span and greater than 0.15 mm.

Abstract: A razor has a holder, a holder handle defining a razor axis, a cross-piece installed in the holder along the razor axis, and up to four pairs of blades. The holder and holder handle collectively form a T-shape structure. Each of the blades in each of the pairs is installed in the holder on a respective side of the cross-piece and at sharp blade setting angle and symmetrical about the cross-piece. The blade setting angle is 75-80°, and the blade setting angle of each preceding blade pair in the direction of the razor movement is less than the setting angle of a subsequent blade pair. The invention makes it possible to increase the efficiency and ease of shaving and to reduce the production cost of the razor.
