Retractable Pintle With Limited Motion Patents (Class 30/533)
  • Patent number: 7971363
Abstract: A head portion of a holder incorporates a pair of support arms, which oscillatably support a razor head, and a pusher, which is pressed against the razor head. The razor head includes a blade body with a cutting edge. The razor head is supported by the support arms at both ends in the extending direction of the cutting edge of the blade body. The razor head includes a pair of supported portions and a pair of contact portions. The support arms include first outer arm portions, which support the supported portions such that the razor head is rotatable in an oscillating direction. The pusher includes a pair of second outer arm portions formed on both ends in the extending direction of the cutting edge of the blade body. The second outer arm portions are pressed against the contact portions. At least part of each second outer arm portion is arranged in a region extending through the associated first outer arm portions in a direction perpendicular to a plane containing a contact direction of the pusher.

  • Patent number: 7100284
Abstract: A razor head has blade members with straight front cutting edges which are mutually parallel and lie in a cutting plane. Imaginary median surfaces of the blade members are continuously curved from the cutting plane, from the cutting edges toward the rear edges. The razor has a handle with a pair of fork arms, the distal ends of which are connected to the head at positions adjacent the respective ends of the head. Each fork arm has a groove allowing pivoting of the distal end about a pivot axis parallel to the head axis. Each groove is filled with a resiliently deformable material which is deformed when a pivoting force is applied to the razor head during shaving and which restores the razor head to a normal position when the force is removed.

  • Patent number: 6442850
Abstract: In a shaving razor using a blade cartridge, the reusable assembly of the razor includes a guard element and the blade cartridge is designed with no parts located in front of the blade edge or edges, and when the blade cartridge is installed in the reusable assembly, the guard element of the reusable assembly becomes located in front of the blade edge or edges of the blade cartridge to cooperate with the blade edges in a customary way to stretch the skin and erect the beard hairs in advance of the cutting edge. The blade cartridge is also movable about two different pivot axes to improve the safety of the razor during use.
